This album sounds like what would have happened if Butch Vig had gotten Dave Grohl to work with Peter Murphy and the cure. Fantastic vocals with edge and dark ambience.

What a nice, laid back sound and a pretty melody. The subtle little slide/dobro touches were just perfect. That uke sounded like a mandolin (or maybe it was) and provided a really solid rhythm. Loved the whole vibe. Applause.
In the early 70s I lived near Haight Ashbury, played music and was deeply involved in that scene. Wrote this song a few years later about those days. Recorded in one take at Rosewood studios..not bragging on the one take, we booked a full day…
Now a decade old, I thought I would revisit this mix again. I have done this a few times as I continue to learn the craft. I thought it would be a good exercise to undertake as a start thinking about writing again for the next record.
