Experimenting with the bass sound in this track is what made bass the focus of my RPM album, where previously I hadn't given much thought to bass tone.

A typical folk song.
Written and recorded in about an hour for the 24 hour album (attempted on March 13th). Excuse roughness and vocal glitches, it was 2am and this was my first full take.

Kidnapped indeed; by someone you trust, and the reddest of wines was just starting to flow the blood warmer when it became apparent there was something else in that glass.
Coupled with an alternate version, this would make a great intro/outro to a concept album. There's an entire world happening in that minute and a half, and I didn't want to leave yet.
This is a meditative space ambient track inspired by the Russian space station Mir and its dreamlike zero gravity atmosphere. The Russian word 'mir' means both 'world' and 'peace'.
Steppe tells an atmospheric story of the boundless plains of the steppes, reflecting Lena’s personal memories from the time she lived in the Russian part of Kazakh Steppe as a young music teacher. From album 'Songs of Vastness' (mt027).
I checked this out simply because of the name. I released a song called steppes with my other band This Caustic Autumn, based on dwelling in the boundless widths of isolation, I guess. haha. It's not nearly as beautiful as this is though. This is really really nice stuff.
