I agree with Sister Savage 100%...do not delete. I find it odd how sometimes; a song I think to be awful, many people end up liking.

to me, this is a profoundly beautiful tuning...esp the way you play it. Whirling and free..full of spirit. It can translate many emotions we as people may have. For me...something about it takes me back to a far away land where some of my ancestors are from. Ireland...Britian... I have many types of genetics in me..I added them last night. lol just kidding ofcourse. Thanks for sharing. I can guess what chords you are playing..can you tell us....as the tuning is different. I picked this info up on a web page... The drone of bagpipes. The claw hammer sound of a banjo. The stark and haunting sound of a country fiddle. All these effects are possible on the guitar using DADGAD tuning pronounced exactly as it's spelled out. http://www.strummeronline.com/dadgad.html

a decimated guitar solo. minimalist overdrive. The decimator being some kind of bit and rate resampler that makes your guitar sound like nintendo.

The salient lines in this traditional song, for me, are these: "... and still I hold, / that the time will come / when he and I will be as one ..." What need is expressed in this "holding"? Against what, does our singer hope? The resistance…

This is a piece that uses MOTU Ethno 2. All but percussion and voice were performed my Fender Mustang and midi recorded via Roland GR-20. The piece uses the Almak tuning included in Ethno 2. [Amlak recurrent sequence (x^2 = x + 1/3), as a matrix…
