We decided we've got too many odd ideas, so we're going to start a series of Esoterica. Here's our first. "The Light Dances with The Dust" is a fragment of a song by our frontman, written for a big-band-funk cantata to be performed by The…

I've had a bit of a love/hate relationship with this one. I enjoyed making the beats and think that part came out pretty good but everything after that felt rather haphazard and didn't feel right to me. I was close to abandoning the track…

One of four tracks I did for the August 2009 24 hour challenge. This was the last track I did, and it shows. I was pretty tired after finishing 3am chill, and had to mess round for ages mangling loops and trying out different things before…

I am not BT, so no rain drops were quantized in this production. Storm was recorded last night on my Tascam DR-07 (with wind filter and limiter). Just a simple piano improv. That of course had to be tweaked far out of the improv stage.

Pain is inspired by my bout with severe nerve damage in my lower back. As anyone who has ever had a good hurt can tell you, it gives you an internal feeling of chaos that often comes and goes in waves and spikes. The music follows this pattern…

This track is written and performed by my 12 year old son Zack. He really is coming along great as a musician, and I'm proud to include him in my RPM project for a second year!

While I think the mastering needs some reworking, I hear a ton of potential here. You wouldn't happen to have the separated tracks for this song, per chance? It's the sort of thing I'd love to tinker with. (I couldn't guarantee it would still sound like a rock track when I was finished, though.)
