Holy wow, now that's really something. right up there with anything in the profession. A little male baritone could be nice in there too. Still powerful as industry standards go.You all have hit on a sound that possibly will make you some money.
"Hey Motorman" was written for the 100 year celebration of the Ariel Lift Bridge.
The bridge was originally built in 1907 with a gondola that went from side to side carrying passengers and vehicles. It was later replaced with a lift system.

Trading smiles on a cloudy day
Wish good fortune come your way
A passing glance, I’m on my way
Trading smiles
Courtesy seems all but gone
No idea what went wrong
For most of us, it’s been too long

Lyrics
Cry of Love
Cry of love, heard in the meadow
Watching the wind blow
With love in the air
Cry of love, answered by another
Who courts the same lovers
With sounds of despair
Cry of love, heard in the daylight
Still crying…
My goodness, my listens this evening have been such a pleasure.
A beautiful song, and of course he does Greg! Look at him, isn't he gorgeous?
Cool banjo!
Lyrics:
Crazy people, wander round all night
Looking toward the Heavens
At little specs of light
Dragging round their telescopes
And Binoculars
All the tools they need to gaze among the stars
Crazy people, look at what they do…
Lyrics
Cry of Love
Cry of love, heard in the meadow
Watching the wind blow
With love in the air
Cry of love, answered by another
Who courts the same lovers
With sounds of despair
Cry of love, heard in the daylight
Still crying…
This is another collaboration with Greg Connor....
Greg wrote the lyrics and asked me to come up with a blues song...I recorded the guitars, bass and organ.....and screamed out some vocals...but the best part is Greg blowing harp...check out his…
Next in the little pile of songs from the shoe-box. This one has the date 27th January 1994 written on it, but it's describing an episode from many years earlier when I was, I'm guessing, something like 12 or 13 years old.
I had to go to a…
The singing and lead break are classic *FDR*.
The rest of the song is somewhat on the mellow side for you.
I like that. . . but it's not the *dog on the end of the chain* sound I've grown to love.
Do you have a new girlfriend that you are trying to impress? What's going on?
I enjoyed the song, and I always enjoy teasing you a little.
Yeah I know, trying to kill one of my favourite songs is madness, but the story is ... my daughter was getting lonely in her flat so she got herself a friend, Roscoe the Pug, could've tried to write one, but came in my head. I'll take the flack…
I'm singing lead on this. It was recorded to 24 track, 2 inch tape, I'm thinking. I have those somewhere, but they've turned gooey. Sadly, it seems to go into the red during the chorus, but I can't fix that now. I have more stories about the…
After lots of chirpy, upbeat stuff coming from me and Jip, here's some misery - oh yes, and some rapping - oh! and a little bit of swearing! Well, there wasn't much else I could do with it.
Enjoy, as much as you can, and I'll get back to…
Determination perseveres leaving "misery" behind.
Oh Oh . . . . Is the optimist showing through?
Good song out of what sounds like a painful situation.
Many thanks to Greg Connor for helping me with this track...I have been playing this Lindsey Buckingham / Fleetwood Mac song for a while, but could never sing it...so I recorded the acoustic guitar and sent it to Greg and he added outstanding…

What is the Earth without the wind
To turn the soil
To let the water in

Don't Be Frightened
Don't Be Scared
Think of all those times we shared.
Don't you know we all lose all we ever dared love.
From the window, a view
Of a young me and you
Don't you know we all lose all we ever dared love.

Can't pass the display
I want to take one to my wife
But she's one suspicious lady

That's what she said to me…
This one got my attention. I especially like the line about the yellow M&Ms.
I'm not sure if an award or therapy is the appropriate response. Maybe that 's why it got my attention.
Now I'm pressing play again, so, here we go . . . . even better the second time.
*You have originality in spades here my friend !!!*
I was going through my song ideas folder and stumbled across this lyric that I wrote ages ago... so long ago I have no clue what inspired it. Certainly long before I ever thought up my "Banjo-centric" schtick. But this is a tune that needs a banjo…
Very Creative!
I'm trying to think back . . . I think this the first song on the subject that I have heard.
I like your singing styles and harmonica too.
Plenty of boogie here, oh yeah!
I took this bus trip from Forth Worth, Texas to Wheeling, West Virginia and on the way home I jumped off in Cincinnati and bought a ticket to Nashville... Lots of stuff happen when you are on a bus and in bus stations for over 60 hours.

Now I can comment . . . Excellent Guitar work, with just the right touch of keyboard. I like that *"Trademark"* singing style too
