The song verse is very poetic and lovely. I personally would love to hear it sung as quiet so without the background singing. Also would like to hear it without the twang.
Ok, now this really is a tongue in cheek song. But, is it just me, or... are all politicians just a waste of space or just Rich & Sad. With no Life !!!
My contribution to this year's RPM Kitchen Challenge.
Very silly.
Well, can’t you see the baby’s crawling
And pulling up all by herself
I can’t imagine what will be falling
When she climbs up on the shelf
See how much she likes to…
The decending line is about the coolest musical concept. Ear candy, and it can be Major or minor scale.Love my effects, but there's no substitution for plain old technique.
Well played John! You are right, it tickles my fancy!
Does the decending (Or downward spiral) have anything to do with the Republicans heading toward Florida next week?
Sorry . . . I couldn't help but ask.
I posted this song a few days ago and Bethan liked the music so much she wrote her own words. Here it is, a co-write across the Atlantic.
SITTING BY THE WINDOW, NOTHING TO DO
WAITING FOR THE TIME WHEN THE SUN SHINES THROUGH
THE SUN SHINES…
Yes, I like this too!
It's good solid music, with interesting lyrics. In fact, here is what I left on Bethan's site:
LOVE IT!
I was hooked when I heard:
"not much fun when your gum's all gone"
That pretty much sums it up!
I met this Indian one night in Albuquerque.
I think he put something in my coffee.

Another version of this. Door-to-door-to-door . . .
LYRICS:
Always heading in one direction
never knowing where the next connection
is or where it is that I am going next
Should I take a right or take a left?
There's a detour that I…
This is a live cut from an NPR radio broadcast back in 1988 while my Irish Trad group Scartaglen was on one of its first east coast tours. Found recently on a cassette tape. Musically this was one of my favorite periods in the history of the band…
I stopped back for a second listen. It's even better this time.
You have a lot going on in the song, and it's all going in the same direction.
You really know how to build a song!
My arrangement of an American traditional tune with tons of variations on title, lyrics and tune. I went for a little delta feel with some light slide on the guitar, and harmonica along with the banjo... definitely strange but I think it works.
Here's a song I recorded a couple of months ago when I had the flu ... as the voice reveals :)
Recorded early in the morning,in the bathroom, using the built-in mics on my boss br800.

Perfect timing for this song! We've been watching the Republican debates all with. It's called GOOD ENTERTAINMENT!
This fits right in with the Northern Lights this week! Fill Er Up Roger!
Neat sounds.
Nice original song Keith! Great lyrics. I like the tapping on the bottle too.

Way to get your Yah Yahs off. My feet are tapping in snowy Minnesota.

Roger, You certainly know how to get a groove on!
Great imagery! I can just picture the little varmint running for it's life.

Beautiful. I think I'm going to go upstairs and look out the window again.... see what the sunrise looks like.
Nice acoustic guitar work, and great narrative!

Nice banjo pickin. You really caught the essence of this one.
Wow! This really captures the imagination
Great way to start the day! Very Pretty.
I grew up with John Prine and Steve Goodman. It was fun to listen to your rendition of one of his classics.
Go Get Um Johnny!
