Lyrics:
After the Sun goes down
Lay in bed no sleep to be found
And the shadows dance on walls
After the Sun goes down
Just a reflecting time
The clock just seems to unwind
The silence gets so loud
Just a reflecting time
It won…

I might try again one day, and it's performances like this that make me want to do it.

Hi Mark,
That was a lot of fun! I think your Harp playing sounds great!
Yes "Cause a Bull Dog to Hug A Hound" sounds like it might fit right into your next masterpiece.
Let's do it.

Greg and I have shared many laughs over the original lyrics for the Blues Tune "Big Leg Women" done by Snooky Pryor and Mel Brown, and these lyrics were the result of some email bantering done to perpetuate the sillyness. Maybe our next take should include Snooky's claim that big legged women have somethin' that'll cause a bulldog to hug a hound!

You get your way when you scream and shout
Look all around, you’ll find someone to blame
I’m just a pawn in your little game
I thought you were special, that was my mistake

One of those progressions I can't get finished enough to call a complete song.In A.BTW if you load this to Audacity and seperate the stereo tracks, you can mute or delete the right hand track and add your own.
Ok, now this really is a tongue in cheek song. But, is it just me, or... are all politicians just a waste of space or just Rich & Sad. With no Life !!!

Very silly.

The decending line is about the coolest musical concept. Ear candy, and it can be Major or minor scale.Love my effects, but there's no substitution for plain old technique.
Well played John! You are right, it tickles my fancy!
Does the decending (Or downward spiral) have anything to do with the Republicans heading toward Florida next week?
Sorry . . . I couldn't help but ask.
I posted this song a few days ago and Bethan liked the music so much she wrote her own words. Here it is, a co-write across the Atlantic.
SITTING BY THE WINDOW, NOTHING TO DO
WAITING FOR THE TIME WHEN THE SUN SHINES THROUGH
THE SUN SHINES…
Yes, I like this too!
It's good solid music, with interesting lyrics. In fact, here is what I left on Bethan's site:
LOVE IT!
I was hooked when I heard:
"not much fun when your gum's all gone"
That pretty much sums it up!

This is a live cut from an NPR radio broadcast back in 1988 while my Irish Trad group Scartaglen was on one of its first east coast tours. Found recently on a cassette tape. Musically this was one of my favorite periods in the history of the band…
I stopped back for a second listen. It's even better this time.
You have a lot going on in the song, and it's all going in the same direction.
You really know how to build a song!
My arrangement of an American traditional tune with tons of variations on title, lyrics and tune. I went for a little delta feel with some light slide on the guitar, and harmonica along with the banjo... definitely strange but I think it works.
Here's a song I recorded a couple of months ago when I had the flu ... as the voice reveals :)
Recorded early in the morning,in the bathroom, using the built-in mics on my boss br800.
Comments on Greg Connor's stuff
I have to say without Delay. This song is Swell
Low-down and dirty blues! LG
That is pretty good. Great dobro and harmonica.

Wow! This really captures the imagination
Great way to start the day! Very Pretty.
I grew up with John Prine and Steve Goodman. It was fun to listen to your rendition of one of his classics.
