If the synth intro doesn't do anything for you, just wait about two minutes for the main part of the song to start.

The intro track for my 2010 RPM album. This will eventually be mixed to fade into the second track, "The Seeker," but I'll do all of that work in final production I guess.
Second track from my RPM 2010 album, "They Are Killers." The pounding drums at the beginning will eventually be over top of the synths that end "Nemesis," but I'll get to that later.
Written and recorded for the "Dictionary Challenge" on the RPM Challenge forums--take a word or phrase randomly chosen from the dictionary (mine was "piece work") and write a song (arguably) inspired by said word or phrase.

Ahhh... another sweet variation on this timeless classic (I happen to love this tune, and seek out wildly diverging adaptations)... very nice twist on the initial bassline, and instrumentation and drums were fun. Well done.

This song started off just on bass and was saved in demo form as "bass led", as in led by the bass. When I needed titles for all the album tracks, I ended up taking "led" and making it "LED"--light-emitting diode.
I'm so easily led by geeky wordplay. Still, we arsenic-kering at the title. Really cool dark bass line, which rises above the drums and makes this intoxicatingly moody. Nice.

This is not a serious attempt at a song, it's just a dare. One of my coworkers challenged me to cover the Rebecca Black song and I like a good challenge.
rpm 2011
Taking taking all her money
Taking taking all her sweat
Taking taking all her money
Taking taking all her tears
What do you give back? (shark attack)
Taking taking all her love
Taking taking all her life
Taking taking all her love
Taking…
As promised, listened to the whole thing... stylistically it's not totally my thing and I don't really have any points of reference, but it's good for what it is. Definitely fits the loud, abrasive, punk rawk vibe, anyway. I think "old" and "aweful dad" were the standouts.
The last track that I'm going to upload for a while. I will be re-recording a few songs to release a LP under my own name. Hopefully it'll be good :)
This one is another exploration using loops and delays. I hope you like it!
613 is a prime number, 136 is triangular, and 361 is a square number - I didn't know what to name it ( but I wrote a math book once called Mathematical Bliss). Anyone want to put some metal vocals on this?
Its my first attempt at writing a piece for piano. I think this would probably best be played by two players..
if I ever write out the piece on paper, it might have to be so.
I would value any of your comments greatly, as I greatly want to improve…
Parts of it loosely reminded me of the final fantasy theme. The unison run section at the end would be a great tag for a fusion tune, reminded me of some Chick Corea sort of stuff.
My girlfriend came to the music store with me yesterday to get my new delay pedal and she patiently waited while i checked it out.. so this is dedicated to her.
Musically, I tried to create a rhythm and texture using only natural harmonics…
Moody downtempo instrumental inspired by a single word randomly looked up in the dictionary. (The Dictionary Challenge on the RPM boards!) In no way related to the recent flurry of teenage vampire/werewolf flicks.
Although it doesn't have anything to do with the teen movies.. if you replaced the melody instrument with something grittier it might not be bad for soundtrack material.
Comments on Synaptic Disturbance's stuff
I quite like the intro actually and the rest is really nice stuff. Rocks hard!
great tune.Rocks.
this is a crakin track, great stuff!
Wow, more cool hard rock!
Good, solid, ROCK.
Bags of energy, and just A LITTLE BIT dark! Excellent!
neat track! love the tempo changes, nice acoustic.
@guest (whoever you were): I'm flattered by a King Crimson comparison!
This is lovely on so many levels! Love the acoustic guitar especially. Looking forward to your RPM CD.
Reminds me of King Crimson. Cool stuff
Love the contrast between the heavy beginning and the acoustic part ( which is really beautiful)!
Well done. beautiful acoustic guitar solo.
Have to be a first huzzah to 2010 then. :-) (Rocks.)
nice riff! keep on rockin
Dark, dark, dark. Appropriately so. ;) Keep up the good work!
As slightly unsettling carols go, this one just got loads better.
this is a good track, kind of funeralish! but good.

Groovy.
Hah... nice lyric alteration. But you left out the rap!

Cool stuff, great feel and changes throughout.
I'm using the Metal Foundry SDX VSTi, programmed in Fruity Loops.
It was a little slow getting started, but I like what you built it up to.
Killer intro, great riffs throughout...
Cool...nice rhythms, and I agree with kirk that the bass + whatever is on top of it sounds great
Tasty! The nylon solo sounds great. Wish I had time/cred to weasel my way in and work with you two ;)

Mmm, delay pedals. Sounds like a clock ticking in places, which in turn makes me think of something that could've gone in a Pink Floyd tune.
Mm, tasty electro groove.

Cool funky groove, the little up and down sounds give it some motion
Cool... would be a great hip-hop beat, although I still prefer it in this form sans vocals ;)
Definitely a bit odd...but interesting, caught my attention
Nice, I enjoyed this. You should paint yourself into corners more often!
Kind of an Our Lady Peace sound... good stuff
Cool tune! Can't decide who it reminds me of... a bit Metallica, a bit Soulmotor I think.
Cool breakdown there around the 3:00 mark!
