Recently, my wife and I discovered the TV show Portlandia, and it has become our Saturday morning ritual to watch the latest episode with our coffee. Anyways, I kind of got the theme song (http://www.ifc.com/fix/2011/02/portlandia-whats-that…

Noticed you checked out our Crispy Beats track. I just posted version 8.0 - still in progress, but getting close. needs some arrangement work & a good mix / master. Let us know what you think!
Another experiment...
This time in Spanish
2/25/12: Somehow the original file got broken, so I had to re-upload this... nothing new here, except I lost all my nice comments :(

This something I put together pretty quickly. But it reminds a little of the stuff they play in between news stories on NPR's radio show, "All Things Considered." Dear Robert Siegel, please play my song on the radio :)

This track is actually 99.583333% M.T.C. But, I needed an easy project for July, since I didn't have a lot of time last month. He had published it as a "B-Side" called "Quarter of a 60th Spanish." For fun, I just added a few subtle twists. Probably…

@Whales - thanks :)
I think there is a flanger in there and a phaser plugin, but it's not a real guitar. It's a few e. guitar sounds from my Korg keyboard. I piled on a ton of effects from FL studio and Guitar Rig to try to make it sound decent, but I don't remember exactly what I did.
this stuff is right up my alley. for some reason, they remind me a little live recordings of old rush tunes from the caress of steel era - like 'the necromancer' and 'fountain of lamneth' I think I will download your album this weekend and go for a drive.
Here's a piece I wrote for my buddy Ron's Documentary about the Tuareg people of Niger... check out the website, and watch some clips from the movie about BAMBINO!!

this is really cool! As a beginning music-maker I am really impressed by how you kept that bass line groove fresh and interesting for the full 12 minutes. It was really great all the way through! The clapping, snapping, stomping rhythm breakdown at around 3 or 4 minutes was really cool, too :)
This is my first musical expedition into the midi keyboard. Having never played the piano its a fun learning experience. Thanks to Norm for lending me Stinkbug!
cool - very interesting choice of timbre :) keep exploring with the midi - it's like trading in you eight used crayons for a brand new box of crayola 128. so much fun!
Comments on Djörk's stuff

Can't believe I missed this. Great work!
AWESOME! this will fit nicely into some of our downtempo sets. Got a lil spicy vibe going yet still maintains a laid back flow. Lovin it
Geico.
This sounds like if Thomas Dolby were taking an island holiday. Is that saxophone/brass-like sound you hear in a couple of the passages a synthesizer?
Reminds me of those tycoon games I used to try to play :D
this one(the intro anyway) reminds me of the game earthbound2 (mother 3 japan) dig it dude...
Love it! Can I put a bird on it?
Excellent!
man, your production qualities are really swell. Keep going brother! You've got style .
I'm diggin' this man, it's pretty chill!
Lovin' the piano. Smooth track.
