Another tune exhumed from the past… 1984 to be precise. A 15 year-old angst-ridden vocalist wrote some words that went something like “Late at night… the shadows… creep across my wall”. Happily, the song is musically much stronger than the lyrics (written by the guitarist in the band, Giles) so I thought it would be fun to re-visit it, adding strings and a horn section 🤩
The middle eight is new and I’ve been a bit creative with some of the chord changes versus the original but I think the integrity of the original melody is still there. I’ve decided the vocals need to be added when i’ve got a) a decent microphone and b) world-class pitch correction software, so this is another one for the ‘singing to be added at a later date’ file

The thing is though, "Late at night... the shadows... creep across my wall" are really good lyrics! Feel no shame, the angst-ridden 15 year-olds knew what they were doing! lol .... Cool sounds, looking forward to the vocals.
