A track using Creative Commons licensed sounds or ones I created from scratch myself. From the freesound Project I used WHALECRY 2 by mkoenig, and bamboo wind chimes by jppi_Stu.
I took 20 copies of the whale song, stretched & chopped them…
A recording of Britney Spears isolated mic from a live appearance in Las Vegas, stretched out, chopped & looped, run through a reverse echo unit, then sped up 400%, pitch dropped a couple octaves, and chopped & looped again.
Noisy track based on radio transmissions from the Moon Landing run through a whole box of Chorus effects, and the whole thing slowly grinding to a wind-down end.
Long form electronic piece the album is basically named after; based on a 5 second tuning fork recording that was copied a couple dozen times, stretched, sped up, pitch shifted & time shifted and formed into a pattern that was almost a tune…
A RPM 2012 warm-up, using Angie Fights Crime's words:
she hides her heart under the pillow
waiting for the good fairy to come
replace this worn and broken thing
with a heart that can feel again
she’s never sure which night will be her lucky one…

A noise track based on the loop "Warm Bath bubbly goodness"; the loop being repeated several thousand times, stretched, chopped, slowed, sped up, and reversed, then groups of loops run through various delays, several effects, and then glitched…

shit, what a weird beginning. Sounds like 2 versions of microsoft sam. whats up with that yo?
you should put a reverb on the sword clashing sounds, It'll give it a cleaner transition between clashes. The song itself is a bit repetative, but I assume thats what you were going for.
Overall I'd give this a 3/5
This actually started with a recording of the photographer Weegee talking about being a news photographer, then I stretched it about 800%, overlaid 20 stretched, chopped & skewed copies, added a Sheppard Tone, ran them through several phazers…
From the archives. Traditional Irish slow air. Myself on the Uilleann pipes with synth backing. This was recorded at a concert here in Weston back in I think '92. Originally recorded on an ancient 4 track machine and then transferred to cassette…
I'll bet the neighbors just LOVE you when you break out the pipes! I guess it could be worse; the Loch Ness Monster Pub in Pasadena used to have a Highland Piper on Sundays, in full Highland drag, too!
Bluegrass banjo, southern rock drums, goofy synths, vocoded chorus, and DnB rhythms. Technically has a NSFW word in the lyrics, but probably not discernable.
Words are from a sestina of the same title by Steve Davenport, who asked us to make music out of it! This was a terribly fun song to record. We did it, of course, while drinking. Thankfully no instruments were harmed.
that is not a sample you hear in the background, it is the dryer going. leave it in? okay, sure i'll leave it in. it's these artistic decisions we're all forced to make.
Comments on Freddie Freelance's stuff
Now this is my idea of Christmas music
Wow, thanks for the overview of your workflow. I noticed that the Tweaker Whale also called in sick this morning. Said he had "anhydrous pneumonia".
Cool Beat
definitely spacy in feel, radio telescope and all
This has all the makings of a SyFi Channel holiday special. "Attack Of The Snow-Zombies" [Attack Of The Snowbies? Znowbies?]
i can kind of hear her screaming..
too short lol ;)
Nice track, working great in the background here. Twelve man, that some number. Highly divisible. 1+2=3. 23! Etc.
Kinda compelling! I want to know more!
Stirring stuff! Great take on the lyrics!
that's very cool and unlike anything I'm doing with em, so awesome!
[Dances about happily] I would love to hear this machine duet with my dishwasher.
weird...both ears are vibrating in madness..
holy shit. masterfully mental.. blew my brains out the side my head. nice

OK, that was a whole Hell of a lotta fun!
This sounds like a Perry & Kingsly/Dueling Banjos mashup! Fun!
It sounds like there's some kind of VibraSlap reverb unit being used on this; if there isn't I guess I'll have to invent it...
The collection reminds me a little of "Radiation" era Kraftwerk, but it reminds me even more of Bruce Haack's work.
Classic ChinaPop, eh?
This reminds me a little of Destroyer, a little of Fiery Furnaces; plenty fun
Is the rhythm coming from the Clothes Dryer? is has an interesting regular vs. intermittent feel to it.
