title is self-explanatory, past tense however.
i really wanted a song that had the flow, emotional intensity and unpredictability of an ocean. perhaps that's a bit cliche.

a culmination of the past few nights, alone, in the dark, a feeling has been lingering and this is my attempt at capturing it.
this is unfinished i think, i feel like something needs to be changed or added or taken away, or that it needs to…

Holy crap man... Akira Yamaoka would be proud. This is definitely something to listen to in the dark and ponder about what isn't there, or at least what SHOULDN'T be there. I am jaw gaping at this as I sit here and listening to it. I feel like, as soon as what sounds like sneakers on a basketball court come into play, a visceral feeling of something eerie always lurking around me. I LOVE IT!
More give me more bro!

so this was a song sitting around for a while, didn't know what to do with...common occurrence. anyways, i wanted to create a song that had a bit of a 'grainy' vinyl feel to it, with nice, slightly distorted highs…

done back in 2006, in my old dreary toronto apartment (i dislike toronto i think).
i don't really like it that much, too repetitive, but i need content up, and others have commented on their enjoyment of this particular song.

This song is like a living organism. Great Stuff! Reminds me of a cool breezy afternoon with all my worries completely gone. Close to being in a meditative state.

many paths. never sure which way the paths will take us. intriguing choice to paint the backdrop with children, and add the rhythms of the chain link fence. sparse, thoughtful, wistful. well written and sung.
8. I only want to procrastinate
I started recording this on 28 february and added lyrics and vocals two hours before midnight the 29th. It's my favourite now though it's kinda dumb. I started with a drumrythm from a crappy Yamaha Portasound keyboard…
Experimenting with my piano/keyboard skillz and a first attempt at record clapping. Needs a good go over with some quality drums and some better arranging. Everything sounds very "synthy" on account of I don't have any quality VSTi at the moment.
i agree with your comments on this track. you should definitely expand on this idea and go somewhere with this.
all in all, the clapping sounds great though, center field and spacey!
Traditional Irish - Arranged by Doug Sparling
The last of my traditional Irish tunes for now...I learned both these tunes on my Kirk Lynch uilleann pipes when I had them - now I just play them on guitar best I can.

its morning here, the sun is rising and things are beginning to start moving again. as i look out my window, i listen to this song. its perfect.
thank you!
story: wings of chaos, wings of beauty. h.g. wells awakens from cyber-sleep in the "Chrysalis". the steam-driven moth-ship is now traveling slowly across an immense nebula. the engine's motoric rhythm generates the soundtrack to the view from…
Well now, this is actually a very old track, made back in March '09 and not that long after I started learning piano.
I was learning a very simple 12-bar blues piece and getting bored with the piano sound I started messing about with the Logic…
ahh, very nice. the reverb on your voice creates an amazing atmosphere, especially when considering the content of the lyrics.
i could say a lot about this track that i like, but nonetheless, great job!
Comments on ghst's stuff
Can you make an extended version? 9 mins is just too teasingly short! This is a masterpiece. I REALLY love this. LOVE LOVE LOVE L<3VE this.
Love your blend of haunting beauty and cool uneasiness. Very ghostly.
Still kicking ass!!

can't wait to hear what you do with this one. The forum post about it got my interest peeked. :)
Prime cuts of reverb, avant garde and ambient. I freaking love it.
nice sounds man dig it
Great stuff. I'm glad I found your work, this is awesome.
Incredibly interesting....love how the bass and drums come in. Feedback around 1:40 even works nicely..
You may not like this but I think it's a special track.

Weird and wonderful.
Gorgeous, oceanic, tribal sounds.
Great sounds. For a moment I forgot about everything else while being completely immersed in this song. Great song.
wild headphone pan-osity... a lament for what is lost, but what won't quite leave the mind. Introspective trance. Nice.
Some cool sounds happening in this mate, nice one.
Interesting sounds! I like the way it gets almost chaotic and then goes to that guitar lick outro at the end
I think you achieved your objective! Nice collage of sounds
Cool sounds mate what a journey that was.

funny, i'm studying as i was listening to this (or trying to). i began to procrastinate immediately as this song began. Damn you, and good job.

a true journey. amazing how my background is currently NGC6302. it made this more than surreal. your imagination is awesome.
ugh, great take on a progression tirelessly used. way to revitalize and reinvent, seriously.
