This story is a poem sent to me by Lesley Sawyer from a blog on her MySpace site and I put it to music and am posting it so she can hear it and maybe see if it's alright. We don't know who wrote the poem. If anybody does please tell me. j mt
My 3 year old grand daughter is now almost old enough to understand this. She sat there fascinated the other day. When it finished she asked me to tell her the story and when I said how Suzy saved the others, she had such a triumphant look on her face.
Especially how Ruth tried to teach Suzy how to fly. Yes!!! I always knew she would love it. Thanks a lot.

We listen for years for words to explain ourselves. "I'm good but not THAT good," was such a moment for me. Good enough to stay in the game but never good enough to win.

I wrote another song but the general reaction suggested that I best "scrap the puppy." So, I salvaged what I could and started over. This is what I got...

Slide Guitar man.
Yes, I asked Gary for an up-tempo slide track to fit my lyrics. Then I worked out a melody and Sister Savage put it all together. It was wavs and MP3's. Cheers Bee

This is freakin sweet. It sounds like one of those fret-stretching jazz like chords that hurt more and more as you play it....then you realize you have 3 minutes left in the song...HA!
It's been a long absence from a regular daily practice of song writing. Covid and a major change in the family has distracted me for well over a year. Recently I've been lucky enough to drift back into old familiar things like wine soaked evenings…

Not many other aspies have a handle on this too good. It would come down to sensory issues really. But if it’s not autism (Asperger’s syndrome) it’s probably something neurodivergent. And that could be ADHD (not always hyperactive presentation but more a neurology and the way you think) or bipolar (creatives) or something like sound synesthesia or dyslexia etc

It’s not to alarm or upset you, I just think we’re so like minded and you show so many traits. "Great story and song. I didn’t listen to it all as I’m trying to get through more songs on the list, but what I did hear I liked and enjoyed reading the rest of the lyrics too. Thought some of the verse melody notes were a little obvious and I could see them being stretched slightly but that shows I was into it. Wish I could write song stories like that!"

We just finished another of Alberto's compositions.
Working with Alberto has made me listen a lot to Lucio Battisti and Lucio Dalla recently. This is exactly the vintage sound of Italo rock that I love.
