HOME
(Am D) or (F C)

BRIDGE 1
When I (Em) feel the gravel crumble in my (C) driveway
And the (Em) puppies all come running out to (C) play (D)

And my (Am) mom and dad will (D) greet me that fine day. (G F C G)
BRIDGE 2
(Em) Charlotte hangs by the (C) back screen door
(Em) Mending the web that the (C) horse fly tore (D)

Where the cattle lo and the horses neigh
And the mountains look so far away
I’ll be rolling down my window ‘cause I’m home
(C) 2020 Royal T Music
For several years, between 1974 and 1980,
we lived out 917 south of Mansfield.
Brook, Goldyn and River were born there.
This is where I’m seeing as I sing this song.
One day I heard a sound of a note sung against a C chord that really reached me. I grabbed my guitar to figure out what it was. I went strait to my studio downstairs and wrote this song. (Of course, it was a CM7.)
I love this song thank you for writing and sharing!
Rosemarie Kempton said, "This is a song I could happily listen to over and over again. Great music and lyrics!"
My husband and I enjoyed that song thanks for the lyrics on Facebook.
Nice song James. Great vocals. Reminds me a lot of CSNY. from acoustic57 :)
Love this whole album James - sometimes you don't need 3 minutes to say everything you need to say. You're pretty much a master of that.... ~~ Peace, Wade
