The core of the music is heavily inspired by Joni Mitchell. Its been spinning around for years in my head so hearing this song finally recorded feels good.

I couldn't listen to it the whole way through, something tells me it's so beautiful it could make me weep a bit, and when I'm in the mood for that, it will be a great release. Really beautiful!

Woo! Something different. Yep, stripped down works... Like this one a lot.
I suspect that you have the same problems that I do with "stripped down" lol (I'm sat on something that's probably "done" - actually Mrs Russe sez it is - but it feels scarily naked to me!)
And that guitar midi controller does the job. Now you've said it, I can hear some "guitar thinking", but I wouldn't have questioned it at all if I hadn't known. Mebbe I've got to get me one...

@Tess,
Its played using a YouRock guitar midi controller. I play it fingerstyle for the most accurate piano affect. It does the trick. I am using a vsti called PianoOne which is sounds most realistic for a free plugin.

My baby, she don't want me (Lyrics)
My baby, she don't want me,
i don't know what to do
i need her,
i believed her
she was hollow and untrue
My baby, she don't want me,
i don't know what to do
i need…
Here we go.
This one started out one morning several weeks ago when the sun was still shining...
If it's as wet and dark as it is here, just close your eyes, I'm sure you can imagine it if you try hard enough...
Lollies, chips, and beer…
Oh,
Iron jaws, wrapped around my legs,
Try to gnaw, but why would I want to.
Why would I want to.
Oh,
Fresh cut gauze, soaking lips,
Trying not to fall, but why would I want to.
Why would I want to.
Silent pines, know my name

Alone for the weekend so here's another.....Reg has really got to stop being a peeping Tom he's going to get caught one of these days.......
I Love her (Lyrics)
she wanders about inside my mind sending me crazy from time to time but i love…
It sort has a indian feel to your harmony vocal against the percussion at the beginning. Dont know how you two came up with this. Really imaginative track.
I keep walking
Through the bush
And I pass death
I can almost touch
And I hide my eyes
From the light
And there's rain and thunder in my soul
I'm a traveller in the night
I'm a night traveller
I call again on the dark
A place where ghosts
whisper…
Well I started this with a little guitar groovin' thing I was playing with and laid it down to a click track thinking I was going to just keep it just guitar , bass and vocals and off it went.
This song really is just all about life moving by…
I use to have a studio in a small city and most days I would see these two fella's walking the streets or asking for some change. They were a visual part of my life so much that if I didn't see them for a day or two I would wonder where they went…

This was well worth the wait. Superb! I love the reference to what is current these days....hint hint..I like the entrance of the keys and organ at 2:42, masterful. Love it.
The poor Mother what she has to put up with.......
The no good son (Lyrics)
The sandman woke him and told him it was time to leave
That the sticks and stones that they threw at him had beat the word to the breeze
They would all know that…
This is my attempt at incorporating some classical instrumentation with a song ... I even tried singing a bit of opera ... well one bar of deep "la la's" LOL. Used my Godin acoustic electric for this one.
Thanks for listening
The second word
Then from the three.
The middle stands out.
Second from I.
No reason to doubt.
Call out loud....
Say it for all you're worth...
Pay it the due you would ...
If it were gone...
Keep it safe,
From all of our mistakes.

Very intimate - lovely autumnal theme. Always enjoy your stuff, James. Very beautiful, tender composition.
This sounds great! Straight to my Piepod! LG

Quirky cool style. I never even thought of a Bog weasel until now.
As trippy as the original!
Oh hell yeah! This is so bad ass!
Cool jam and guitar playin!
Rich arrangement, nice textures. Reminds me of what I love about music. Pedal Steel....love it! :)
Sounds like you fronting the Doors....crazy cool!
These lyrics are prize winning! Great work!
Love your vocal. Song has a lonely but warm vibe. Nice artistic style.
Another new one! They come in fast boy howdy! Prolific songwriter you are. I like the vocal on this. Has a 70's acid rock vibe.
It sort has a indian feel to your harmony vocal against the percussion at the beginning. Dont know how you two came up with this. Really imaginative track.
Diggin all these tracks. Great playin . Song first attitude.
Thats a pretty classy cut. Like the snappy guitar tone and playin. Reminds me of Larry Carlton.
Oooh...bad ass track! Love that uke in this context. Hip blues track.
Ooh yeah here that organ poking in and out in the right channel now. Great recording. Love these lyrics.
This was well worth the wait. Superb! I love the reference to what is current these days....hint hint..I like the entrance of the keys and organ at 2:42, masterful. Love it.
Great song. Most likely unintentional, but it reminds me a bit of early Springsteen.
I could almost here this as a score. Very nice all the way around.
Tops! Brilliant! Nice arrangement. Spotless.....i can keep going.
Nice track...love the harp in there.
This is a dirty good collab! Has early 70's Alice Cooper, Thin Lizzy vibe.
