I was listening to the first wondering how you were going to get guitar and bass into it... and there they were :-)
Huge sound, works really well. Vocals get a bit lost in it for my money - but I was listening to the guitars by then!!
Wow...Andrew you are too kind. As a teen I would fall asleep too Electric ladyland or Axis...etc...maybe in some weird way it subliminally affected me...haa!
Back for another listen. I went to bed buzzing last night because of this. Over breakfast, the missus had to put up with me explaining and miming the virtues of this performance... (poor girl)
That entry at 1:19 - crumbs. And 3:38 til the end... And the end itself... It sounds so "live" that I'm expecting crowd noises!
Woof! Lovely.
When you want to do it, you've got the "expressive Hendrix" thing completely and utterly pegged - how to play it and how to record it - I'm in awe.
I know guitarists - and you probably do too - who'll sit around saying "oh so-and-so just copies Jimi/SRV/whoever" ... don't ever listen to them - they're just jealous lol. They bought the right gear, the pedals, whatever, and they still can't make the sound...
You've got it in the fingers/brain/soul, and I find it a joy to listen to.
Magnificent stuff.
I wrote this little ditty back in May, did an acoustic demo and then played it to one or two people. I always meant to do something a bit more, er, "expansive" with the thing... So I stuck it in the corner for a bit and forgot about it.

From a first time Ninjam session with a friend "Killer Haven"! Loads of fun. We are both using reverse guitar delays and mellotrons (virtual) amongst other strange things :)

@ fallinupart, just sharing the progression of this tune from the beginning. And in the process driving alonetoners mad! Lol! Thank u for the comments and listens...again and again. ,)
Wildgeas sent me over this excellent backer and in return i sent him back a garbled vocal and a jumbled lead guitar and out of the pigs ear that i sent him ….the Surgeon that he is…cut and pasted and he has created a silk purse…i even sound…
What with all the great Zep covers posted by Tworegs and Chris Vaisvil, here's mine, I enlisted the vocal of the man himself, thanks Reg! Also note my new fretless strat as second guitar here.
Comments on JR James's stuff
I didnt know how to do a mix when I recorded most of these tracks....way too much mudd and bass..

Woo... running out of superlatives to use here. Haven't heard a track I didn't like yet.
Very nice take on this one.
Yep one of my favourites too

Wonderful flavours - great playing!

I like the tune! I saw G3 in '97.
Very nice guitar playing, thanks for the song comments!
OK... I've got to dust my strats off now (I've been enticed away by a cute 335 recently).
Thank you my friend. I have never been much of a shred meister but I try to at least phrase my lead lines to fit within the song.

Loving your stuff - fantastic guitars on this one. So much expression in the lead.

Ooh I like when the band jumps in full force. Nice punchy mix. That is a nice throw back riff and solo at the outro.
David Bowie-esque but so original its unlabellable....if thats a word. Love those guitar tones. That rotovibe is a nice touch.
Dirt wampin and lovin!
Listened on the way into work this morn. Nice way to start the day. Another gem.
Perfect, impeccable....put a chill.up the spine. That was A + tops. Paul Simon would agree.
Nice soundscape ands surround..
That is awesome. Great sounds conjured up.
Cool track....very hip to the indie scene.
That is some hellish tone and playin ala FDR trademark.
The sound of steel.....nice
Bob Dylan came to mind on that opening. A real good one here.
Oh nice full.sound....love the accordian and bells. Iwas s just missing the northwoods.
Interesting
Trippy. Like being inside my head only to find I was someone else.....

Like an old rare bootleg of a Grateful dead jam. Jam on!
Has a 80's rock feel...cool track.
Oh hell yeah..nice choice!
Kick ass......right on.
That a jam packed 3 min. Bad ass riff, like the section it builds up to and widens up.
