An arm near her head in defense
Somewhere just short of obsession
Something just north of intense

In paces she’ll already know
From the cradle of civilization
In places devised long ago
A bearer of studied reactions
Conjuring all of her skill
Setting aside all distractions
So dangerous when she’s so still
