My first attempt at a Blumlein or Mid/Side recording. This one is actually a mid/side recording as I used a directional mic in combo with a figure 8 ribbon mic set at 90 degrees from the main mic. Thanks to Pat Broaders for the loan of the ribbon…

Yep the left track is the strat copy...middle is the guitar in the pic, my first "frankenstien" guitar, a les paul copy (harmony brand?? i think, been too long since i painted and rewired it) and right track is the jackson. Same amp settings on all three but there are subtle differences in tone. You can really tell it when you crank the gain on them. ;)
Solo acoustic finger picking thing I've been working on for a while. Sometime around 1968 I started studying with Mr. George Bennett who taught me the rudiments of finger picking. Later when we played some gigs together he also taught me the rudiments…

I'm a complete idiot when it comes to all things midi related. Recently got myself a midi keyboard though and came up with this short piece just messing with sounds in Proteus. Really looking forward to the possibilities of combining this sort…

Kinda rough. I'm uploading this mainly to share a guitar technique I've been working on. I'm wearing a slide on my picking hand and using it to alter pitches in single line phrases. There's a lot more can be done with this technique that I've…

I swore that I would NEVER upload this. Was having a bad day trying to loop "nice" acoustic guitar sounds and got frustrated so grabbed my Taylor and plugged it into a cheesy Effects box and straight into the looper. Started twiddling knobs and…

I wish my listening gear was better--enough to give you some supportive comment for your recording technique. All sounds wonderful here, and the piece itself is emotive and beautiful. Really enjoyed this. I've met some fine guitar players on my sojour through internet music--you are one of the finest.

Mining the archives a bit. This is an alternate take of my "Jimi Jam" from a couple of years ago. Live to 2 tracks with the Jamman. Really only sounds OK when cranked up loud enough that your eardrums threaten to meet in the middle. LOL!!

Abstract sound collage. I attempted to combine multiple layers of different guttural depths as well as higher frequencies to complete a range that creates a dark and humid atmosphere. The tracks were recorded sounds that were then cut up and organized…
Three hours.
No plan.
Halloween.
Thirteen tracks.
Dark but not dark.
Toys used:
Synths: FM8, Massive, Absynth
Guitar: GT-10, Timeless 2, Volcano 2, Eos, BigSeq2
I wanted to make a track for halloween but technology problems and time have conspired that I didn't get very far.
However I'm uploading the first couple of minutes of what I have.
Have a spooky night!
Here is the "more complete" track I promised with backing vocals.
A song about loving the real me...who do i see when i look in the mirror? Do I love what I see?....i really want to.

This is a remix of my earlier track [Metaphysical Beat 2](http://alonetone.com/sandbags/tracks/metaphysical-beat-2). In fact it's the 4th remix but the first one I'm really happy with. I even found myself trying to dance along to this when I…
Mat and Jodi have been separated by a vast divide in time and space. AND YET! they can still create the distucto! as if by magic.

Jamie is one of the very first "Off the cuff" songs I wrote. What ever popped into my head at the time. It sat around for many years before I finally decided to record it. Recorded in Jan 08.
Rift is an instrumental (I've been doing a lot of that lately)from The "Orange Morning" Album. Its a seven song album of various instrumentals created for an upcoming project that combines the power of intension, subliminals and brainwave technology…
