Similar in feel to the other Fragile Moment track. Mostly acoustic guitars recorded sitting in my shop on the H4N and then finished up in Cubase just this morning. September 9 09. Maybe a nice one for bedtime

@Mannequin Races. Thanks - I was not sure about the mix- Just got sick of messing with it! The lead tone was recorded with a Rode NT1A into the Zoom H4N with an edited preset that was a vocal mic pre in combo with pretty extreme compression. I was kinda going for the sound of single line stuff on a classical guitar, but don't have one!

This is has a dark feel to it. I like the subtle voice patches. This is mixed very well. It has a nice full sound to it. Such a beautiful lead guitar tone. Are you recording this direct or what sort of mic set-up do you use? Nice build up. The shakers add a nice touch!
Solo acoustic finger picking thing I've been working on for a while. Sometime around 1968 I started studying with Mr. George Bennett who taught me the rudiments of finger picking. Later when we played some gigs together he also taught me the rudiments…
Really beautiful finger picking. That's one thing I've never really felt comfortable doing. I'm stuck in a rut of playing with a pick but maybe I'll branch out one of these days! Really nice progression. This was the perfect song to wake up to!
Something completely different- Uilleann pipes(Irish bagpipes) and synth. I wrote this tune over 20 years ago in the style of traditional Irish slow airs. It was recorded way back in 1991 for an album that's been out of print for over 15 years…
What happened after too much time on youtube watching live vids of "voodoo chile" Noisy obnoxious and very cathartic for me! Live to 2tracks with the Jamman
...nice groove/tones/lines -funkaliscious, man! By the way- I bet you dig Bowie's 'FAME' [as do I], no?!
Thanks for taking the time to listen to my stuff and comment. Best -kss
Just one of those passing moods. Just finished today - august 2 2009. I resisted the temptation to try to develop it any further and just let it be what it is
Another one from back when I was tracking to actual tape. Was going to do a new version at some point, but decided I had lost interest. Sometimes there's no sense in recreating the past! Recorded probably the beginning of 2007

Thanks for the kind words. We're still feeling at an appropriate 1st album style, and think we're hovering closer to what we want. Love your work (especially this song) - keep it up! Gave us some inspiration for finger picking.

I especially enjoy tracks that make me feel like I've learned something about artists I love, and this is one of those tracks. And also your "Thanks George" at the end is a wonderful touch.
I hesitate to upload this, but there are a couple folks around who like this sort of thing. This is an edited down version of a jam I had with myself back at the end of 2007. Live to 2 tracks with the aid of the Jamman. I think it was the first…

Imagine that you are that lump of enchanted wood on the workbench.... and instead of Pinocchio you can be anything... maybe even a stratavarious... thanx to my friend Dave Edwards for the real violin trax
From today's one hour session:
acoustic guitar, fretless electric bass, tabla, tambourine, and the synthesque sound is the electric guitar played with a violin bow
A track that I put on hold for the RPM Challenge.
Of course, now I can't really remember where I was going with it... but to have used it in the challenge would have been cheating.
What I do remember was that I had just discovered and fallen…
This one is dedicated to a good friend of mine, based on some recent conversations we've had. I'm not quite happy with how it turned out, but if you think about it that just mirrors life and how your best intentions never turn out exactly how…
This has been something that has been struggling to get out for a while. I finally feel comfortable enough playing it to have pressed record...
Boring technical details:
DADGAD tuning
two improvised tracks, GT-10 Studio Acoustic Guitar preset…
I am honored to be able to put words to the music of Skidoo and to say the mood he created with his music triggered something important to me.
One of my favorites tracks from Skidoo is "An elephant of truth". The first version of this song…
Had the chorus idea floating in my head for a number of years, but never had the inspiration to do anything with it. Then a friend died and this song came out of me staring out the window in the cold of January 2005 wondering what the hell to…
