Tomorrow Will Be You
This is a rough cut, but I like it. Here are the lyrics:
TOMORROW WILL BE YOU
It’s been a long time since I saw you
I’m at a loss for words
But when I heard the news
I went straight to your room
There’s no point in looking back
There’s no point in staying mad
There’s no point when you don’t know how long it will last
Tomorrow will be something true
Tomorrow will be brand new
Tomorrow will be you
Laying on a long red chair
With your head bare
As it enters your bloodstream
You whisper, “Lord, please”
You wanna to see their lives unfold
You wanna see them grow old
You wanna be there when they are all alone
Tomorrow will be something true
Tomorrow will be brand new
Tomorrow will be you
Now you’re back home feeling right
The sun is shining bright.
You say, “This is my life”
And I’ll do what I like”
You don’t care for any excuses
You don’t care for any rules
All you care is we live life to the full
Tomorrow will be something true
Tomorrow will be brand new
Tomorrow will be you

This is deeply felt and as other have noted, quite thought provoking. Thanks for sharing, Nick. Hope you are doing well.
Great Lyrics, digging this very nice..
Raw and powerful! This speaks volumes in its simplicity... Sending healing thoughts and strength as this evokes someone battling an illness...
I have the feeling there is a lot of the story not told, on purpose. That vagueness is very effective here. My imagination is running wild.
