GOOD-BYE
I don't want to say good-bye
But I have to go
Catch the train that's heading West
Do another show
I don't want to make you cry
There's no other way
Give your weary head a rest
Carry on the day
- Don't know how to say good…
GOOD-BYE
I don't want to say good-bye
But I have to go
Catch the train that's heading West
Do another show
I don't want to make you cry
There's no other way
Give your weary head a rest
Carry on the day
- Don't know how to say good…
GOOD-BYE
I don't want to say good-bye
But I have to go
Catch the train that's heading West
Do another show
I don't want to make you cry
There's no other way
Give your weary head a rest

ASTRAL PROJECTION
Out of body, separated, as I travel on, ascending high, a photon in the realm of light between the here and there, and twix the now and then, beyond the worlds of suns, with angels, cherubims, I loosen not the silver cord…
excellent song,.. these lyrics make me think. thinking about how that silver cord I let go of long long ago.. :) most interesting song but maybe I should never let go of the astral umbilical cord back to ground and my body .. ? I will never know.
FEEL THE TIME
Feel the time is rushing by,
I feel the time is near
Feel the time is crushing down,
I feel the time is here
That is how the world goes round,
that is how it goes
Just a question, when and how,
and that no one knows…
My approach was to leave Greg as the major part of the equation. This is why I didn't make the bass too prominent, why the electric guitar is soft with much space in between, subtle keyboards, and my voice kept in the background. What I added was a bit of seasoning -- this version is still very much the magic of Mr. Connor.
"Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die,
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly" ~ Langston Hughes
DREAMS
Hold on gently to your dreams
Or else your dreams could die
Like unto an injured bird
For battered wings, they will not…
My bird wants to soar! I've been holding onto her for a while just petting her and admiring her but she really wants to fly high! I just don't want anything to happen to her or to lose track of her.
This recording was revised 8/7/2014 with sound effects (train and whistle) and wah-wah guitar.
WRECK OF NINETEEN THREE
People listen to me tell you
Of the story of a man
Roamed the country in a school bus
People called him Danville Dan…
Vocals by Greg Connor, lyrics by Connor and Merry Bear, music by Bear.
And y'all thought the Hokey Pokey was what it was all about! This song is 4 dimensional – up/down, left/right, in/out, now/then. BIG THANKS to Greg Connor for fabulous vocals…
MID SUMMER
A mid-Summer's night's dream
The days are slipping by
Amid the rushing stream
I take the time to cry
The end is hurling near
I stand with open arms
I sing the tunes I hear
While falling for her charms
She is why I'm…
WALKING ON THE MOON
See the Earth on horizon
Watch the Earth as she's arising
I hope the living are gazing
I hope the people are loving
Feel like I'm walking on the moon
I think I will be on there soon
My body's going to set me free…

MAD AND SAD AND SCARED
I just want to get by for a friend
This is not how I would want to end
Mad and sad and scared
In everything I've shared
That is all I leave behind me
This is all I am
Hope I find a way
To kiss you every day
That…

WEDDING DAY
This is our wedding day
And…
This is a fun idea Greg has, and I can't wait to hear more.
He sent me an acoustic and vocal track and asked me to complete it.
I stayed up most of the night jammin' it. :)
It's a bit loose around the edges because I didn't work anything…
Great job! A full, rich sound. Nice guitar work. Especially love the vocal harmony. you're a smart choice to collaborate with -- you really know what you're doing.

The night outside was as Black as coal
Her heart was made of stone
i couldn’t find no place to go
God did…
This (just in case nobody notices) is a desperate cry of protest against the suicidal car culture human has created.

Reminds me of some of the out-of-this-world music from 2001:A Space Odyssey -- I'm seeing the monolith surrounded by pre-historic ape-men. Enjoyed it -- stay groovy!
Very interesting -- like a ghostly. psychedelic, out-of-the-box style sea shanty. I imagine life on a ghost ship would sound like this. Enjoyed all 10 minutes of it!
Thanks to Robert Palomo for giving this a little sound engineering. Robert said " I mixed thru my mastering plugin (Ozone 5).
