Welcome to alonetone Lisa, how very pretty this one is.I love it
I love that haunting whistle!
Beautiful, every time I hear it!
A very beautiful lullaby indeed.
Oh my, this is wonderful! Your lovely voice and haunting music make this magical.
Hi Lisa, welcome to Alonetone.
What lovely and refreshing music. Ha, not bad on the penny whistle! Not bad at all!
Big smiles here, as I'm partial to the Celtic sound. Lovely playing on all the instruments!
I agree ... great mix, great bridge. Your various instrument voices always cooperate so well with each other!
Ohhh ... lovely intertwining of mando and low whistle. You set a beautiful mood right in the first few measures.
What good song! Your guitar/banjo interplay is great, as always, and your lyrics flow with ease. (Note to listeners ... don't rely on your computer/laptop speakers or you won't get the most out of the oh-so-smooth bass line. Use decent speakers or headphones.)
:) A make-you-smile kind of song. :)
What a lovely song! Great lyrics, smooth banjo, perfectly uncluttered arrangement.
Wow, that is some very fine harmonica-playing! Great backing guitar as always, and your voice is really sounding good. Also ... I've said this before in other comments, but it bears repeating that you do a wonderful job with recording/mixing.
So, it runs in the family I see. Another great composition - endearing lyrics, great playing (and I love the whistles conversing with each other). :)
What a great song, beautiful layered "voices" and rich, clear mix. Lovely tone on all the instruments!
Another good one! Once again, you have such a great sense of placement and phrasing. As a listener, I can relax completely when listening to one your songs, knowing that you'll sustain a solid groove throughout. Voice sounds great too.
I agree with all the previous comments. The mix is great and the electric guitar is very well done - nice phrasing and placement. And your lyric-writing abilities are also in full swing!
This is a lovely song ... very poetic! And the guitars and whistle sound so clean, light and clear - very apt for a springtime song.
What a great song. I love the way the lyrics are phrased within the music. The mix allows each voice to sparkle, in keeping with the words of the last verse. And there's that perfectly-placed slide in the whistle solo that makes you go "yeah!"
Heartfelt and beautiful! That clean, "exposed" style is very courageous, if you know what I mean. (love the whistle too )
This is excellent ... wow. What a great arrangement and fantastic, powerful playing. I love the entrance of different instruments along the way and the use of low, sustained drone notes. Most of all, though, I like the "soul" and liveliness of the piece. I would have loved to hear your group live!
Your musical intuition is so good, both in the way you interweave instruments as well as in your mixing choices. Along the lines of Roger's comment - you paint pictures with music. The whistle is also fabulous in this!
Very sweet! Simple things really make this song ... like the slightly unexpected (to me, at least) chords at the end of lines 2 & 3, and the way you hold the second-to-last word on the last lines ... those musical choices are perfect.
I always forget to log in. That last comment was me.
I like the lyrics to this one. Your voice has very appealing quality and sounds great with that full, acoustic guitar sound.
Beautifully-played chord progressions and great vocals. I love the clean, open sound!
