I found this while doing some clearing out. Its the only demo me and a friend Ben Price recorded when we were briefly looking to form a band in about 2005/2006. Listening back to it, strained vocals aside I kinda liked it so thought I should give…
*Modern electronic rock. Guitar, synthesizer, samples, drums.*
*Sounds like **_Depeche Mode_** *and **_U2_**.
*Recorded at The Hive in 1997. Mixed with* **_Ken Kessie._**
*When you're depressed, nobody wants to see you.*
You all said…
So, I did multiple demos of this in my bathroom (for the echo) in the days before recording it. It is fun to play on acoustic. I record the real thing and it just screamed string quartet (or the Fox version of said quartet) I had never done strings…
The ninth of 9 demos I recorded in Jan. 2009 for the upcoming Spooky Garcia album that Rob and I are recording for RPM '09. I would have posted the eighth demo I recorded for the album but it sucks.
This is from our album, "When I Was Your Age," recorded entirely in the month of February for our third year participating in the RPM Challenge. "When I Was Your Age" is a collection of 13 songs looking back at when we were kids.
Meathead syndrome,
No goals, no control.
The light, the time
It’s in my mind,
Oh fine,
Won’t be polite
Some lines
Have not progressed in Mind
Meathead syndrome,
No goals, no control,
Meathead syndrome,
No cure,
Not attuned to be here
Oh leave…

You might want to dig out a copy of the Porcupine Tree song "Voyage 34" - similar concept
Good to hear you're still at it!
Love it, plenty of stuff to keep you listening with lovely changes throughout
McFly will be very proud - put a grin on my face!
Lovely
I'm loving this song. The strings make it.
Awesome guitar work (and fits the music too). Nice one
I'm loving your music - just got it ticking away in the background
Dan, glad you like it, I enjoyed doing it. I'm going to confess that the slight changes to lyrics are where I couldn't work out what you'd sung!
Pleased you like - pretty true to the original apart from fuzzy some lyrics and dumbing down the music!
I'm loving this!!
I thought this was one of Alex's stronger songs - you've done a good job on it - nice one
Blistering stuff!
Love the organ and the way the lullaby weaves in and out!
