consider this a microcosm of the final work that might just happen ,, yes a complete Klingon Orchestrated Opera :) (feeling shameful that it was Chris's idea first.) (this is a mire raw example of an outproduced work.>

long ago when there was a "guitar electric" in my presence I recorded this and edited it in cubase, back when I used cubase, old and somehow interesting?
I have that problem from time to time the wave form is there it just does not work ,,, a few days ago it happened to a whole song of mine really upset me because I liked the sounds I had made..

this is a mono/nonstereo track because my fourtrack recorded decided that mono is better then stereo but at least the dang thing works ,, I guess,, From now on it is direct records from the outside machine to the computer not thru the fourtrack…
if you use something as a midi controller there are a few VSTi software microtonal synthesizers that are free which makes it easier. Savihost - and other VSTi hosting software let you play microtonally - all you have to keep track of is how the extra (or less) notes translate to the normal keyboard.
This piece is crazy! How'd you do the drums?
As for mono/stereo - what you need is either a Y-cable with 1/4 male to 1/8 stereo (or collection of pieces that do that)
If you are still using Sonar I guess its lets of an issue - just record multiple tracks.

here the microkorg is the "lead" while the supernova II does the "undertones" I am trying to sync the two in post producion ,,, some of the stuff from yesterday is sync but I used buzz modular synthesis to do that.
very similar to the 'more of this a' but part 2
btw the video for todays' computer music work is getting uploaded now. all 25 min 25 sec and 25 frames there of.

Looks like an odd game... 0.o Nah the Tabletop game I'm talking about is like Dungeons and Dragons, a Role play game. This is a post apcalyptic set roleplaying game.

A piano solo in the JI version of Wilsonistic pivot on C tuning posted to the Just Intonation group by Margo Schulter 12/25/2010. The piece was improvised on a M-Audio 88es using Pianoteq 3.6 and recorded in Sonar 8.5 with some editing of the…
I also recorded this once through on the Martin and Zoom H-2 yesterday as well. One day I'll do a decent version of this, I promise. For now this is my modest Happy B-day to John.
Composed all in one sitting at about 4am in January 08 when I was feeling particularly horrible about a breakup. This one has a video I filmed (mostly on the campus of George Mason University in Fairfax, VA) while walking a few miles at night…
I think at this point I would lose my mind creating something like this just the extra listens the composer has to do would kill my psyche LOL,, real intense xenotolerance .. getting to like the xeno effects :)
A redux of one of the first pieces I ever made. The bassline is close to a bass loop that came with Fruity Loops v2.7. Everything has at least a bit of distortion on it.
this is the midi file called porcupine-22 feed thru my supernova II not sure where clones got the file or if that was one he made himself but I believe it was in the section of MIDI files to feed into the nova.. :) then the edits and the mixing…
software for the sound scape? audacity was in record constantly then the LMMS=0.4.7 because I have a bug in the LMMS=0.4.8 and had to roll back to the previous version the midi file used was something that Chris Vaisvil sent me to work with ,, the midi out went to the supernova II os 2.o where I changed the programed patch groupings every now and then ,, remixed everything in audacity then melted it down to mp3 form :) edit 2 will be going in to the original records and restructuring the whole thing ... :)
As I had nothing better to do last night, I had this great idea that I would construct a rhythm for the 24 hour challenge. This would be different: a 24 minute drum solo (I mean, who wouldn't love that?). I even had a perfect bass riff: the "Mother…
Comments on Newbold's stuff
gets pen ready to outline the opera's conceptual structures in skeleton form. yes pen is better then computer keyboard sometimes ,, don't know why.
I like it..why not he whole 'Klingon Orchestrated Opera'?

Interesting stuff, but dead space after 22 min. so I left.
Cool, it's like an alien attack from an old sci-fi movie.
Nice one !!
nice tones!
It is good to get this out to the web finally :)

I'm finding this extremely eerie and disturbing!
Different sounds? i like this side....woha! You nailed it!
it sounds like it is descending and descending, but at the same time not moving at all. very freaky!
Absolutely!! I'm not good with videos....u would do more justice then me on the video:)
"buzz modular synthesis"- have no idea what that is, but sounds cool!
extreme caffeine rush

I watched the whole video - I take it what was happening is that you layered video of you layering the sound? Very disorientating and interesting.
this is intense!! more microkorg?

have to make more of these videos when there is the more powerful computer back from the shop :) ,,
very pretty Chris I like the running chromatics here.
distorted spots were confusing in order to discern exact melodies but that might of been the idea...
this sounds like something I did, well the guitar work when I altered it in cubase. It is really nice to hear similar stuff in other places!!
very expressive hypotheticals and they are really beat wise in thought developing with the sound tensions .. nicely worked - in other words
the universality is quite satisfying, special breath effects could be more intense ,, Maybe..
listening to this album ,, I like the blue-mars effect :)
so dark and defiant of thought. excellent.
note.. one (egg) and one (egg) and one (egg) makes and omelet not? but a broken one while sitting like a cornflake with milk and honey, ever so.
pretty very
woe
quick beatings :)
as this goes on your making me feel as if I don't look at the wave patterns close enough to have them mixed correctly ;-?

well the beats are neat here.
ohhh the splitting feedback works well here. I might have to listen again just to figure out how to do something akin here.
fl is nice here... the distortions are tasty
