Aw, we tried to make this a bit more pro, but sometimes the really fun moments in life are fleeting. So here it is warts and all. But don't mind that - just get out onto the dance floor with Reg! It's ok: he's up to date on his shots.

Nope, I don't notice any warts, not even a little pimple!

Once again,, very fine,,, long ago,, people used to clear the floor also when i got up to dance,, but it wasn't because i was good, or they wanted to watch,, i think it was more out of a desire to get away from the strange guy,, ah well youth.. well done
In Argentina they say "in Argentina everything may change - except the tango", but I couldn't resist adding some percussion to this beautiful nuevo tango by Vincent Voois, composed in the style of Astor Pantaleon Piazzolla.

And the season starts to change.

Inside my heart is too.
And I don't know how to…
Ok, so I'm just a percussionist, and if your only tool is a hammer, the entire world looks like a nail. I get it. And I also get that our songs are our children, so we should be very careful about whom we let them play with.
When I first heard…
For this Mother's Day week, a conga improvisation dedicated to Saint Monica and all the other mothers who surreptitiously provide for and incessantly pray for their children. Thanks Mom!

This is one stereo track of 6 conga drums tuned, by ear, to roughly a chromatic scale (I don't know which one - perhaps I've gone micro-tonal!) coupled with a single track of ad-lib quinto (the high drum) and a "shuffle" groove on trap-set…

Most enjoyable!

A song about meeting up with each other this year for some music and booze next week.

Full picture of the guitarron body - it sounded great - nicely deep.
The guitarron is fretless with a very short neck which reminds me of a giant Oud - the wikipedia article will give you an idea of just how huge this thing really is…

Featuring Norm Harris on Percussion!
i hope you like it...
I plugged my Fender Mustang directly into the Zoom H2 and monitored with head phones while sitting on my bed and played around. This is a compressed version of one of the things I did. I've been pretty sick the past few days but I needed to…
From an old song of mine.
Wanted it raw so stuck with the One Guitar one voice thing.
All in all a Two track production (Excluding the drum track.)...
Edit----
Now added to by bourne
This is a recording of Norm and me playing together a few months ago. I didnt have any percussion instruments so Norm was on a Roland electric trap set and I had a cello. I looped some of the stuff we did that night, and retrofitted the rest…
Good dog. Bad Dog. It's all the same. Poor Daisy. Sometimes when the opportunity presents itself, you just have to run far away, through out the night.
Great vox on this one and the change of perspective -from the narrator's to Daisy's- is very clever. But the double entendre that this piece drips with is the part I like the very best.
These are facinating! More information, please? Origin? History? Translation? Production details? What is that predominant percussion sound? Almost sounds like a bellows...
Well, this may be the final tweaking of this nice little sing along song...
I sent this fun little sing along off to Jim of MTC fame, and once again he has outdone himself... And I can't thank him and his wife (who appears covertly) enough…
This is what happens when I come back to a track that started being put together in a commercial radio station production studio back in about '92/'93 (post liquid-lunch "creative" time). The rhythm loops were layered then the crunch guitar (courtesy…

Comments on Norm's stuff
Norm's overdubing percussion is a tight add on to this sweet funky Rreggy track. love it!
A great job there Norm those skins are definitely helping Reg's dance...........
I must admit that those drums do rather make me want to get up and dance. This is a great track guys! Nope, I don't notice any warts, not even a little pimple!
@ Richard: Keep dancing Richard - I'm right behind you and it's not going to be pretty.

Thank you for your nice comments, let us say that you have a lot of very interesting ideas using you percussion, here and there!
Ah the rich flavorful sound of the Conga is super:) thank you for that Norm!
Yes, like the Reg's say, excellent.
Faith is a gift, not something you can independently improve.
My basket is always half full......
I need to fix my basket. Inspirational, Norm.
excellent
Improv or not, this is really awesome.
a refreshing change up. one of my favs. forget the metronome. really like the (gong)? in the beginning too
Most excellent! Love that bit where the downbeat gets hidden for a time and then returns. Very cool!
Took the advice and put on the headphones. Oh yeah! Most enjoyable! Faith? Much better than hindsight, when you know you should have taken the basket but didn't.

Excellent!
Have a great time. Have a G&T for me!
Sounds like a mariachi band has recently been through your Guitar Center...
Awesome! I'd love to see you guys perform in the desert sometime... a perfect back-drop for this sort of music and hunting for allicantos.
Ahh. This evolves nicely. I love the cello action. Totally pro.
Great space you have created here! Just right for a high soaring Condor. You did a beautiful job with this -superb mixing. I love it! Many thanks!
I still love this one...
I can hear you recovering!
Menacing!
Very effective! Nice guitar work and drum work here.
Excellent. I think you nailed it with this one: one guitar, one voice works very well here.

Go team go! I'm singing it with you!
Excellent work here. Meritous of many more listens IMHO.
Great percussion!
Very enjoyable. Thanks!
Sounds great nearly 20 years later!
So how does the harmonic series filter work? Does it just allow one to hear the lowest A, E and next to the lowest B? Wild stuff!
She's going to treasure this someday...
