Once upon a life

By OsCKilO
Once
Upon a life
Do we find
A happy ending

More
Are the times
That we try
To race from the line

Slow down Laddy
Wont you go a little bit Slow
So Daddy can
catch up

Hey there Laddy
I could run fast in my day
And daddy remembers them
Now….

La La La La La la LA!

Why
Do we wait
For a time ?
We have some right now!
Such
Is the way
That you think.
I’m proud of you Son!

Run fast Laddy
Let your heart race in your Life
Now Daddy will stop and cheer!
Dont mind Daddy…
I just need a Little rest
Before I Run again…
Soon…

La La La La La la LA!

Once
Was a time
Before now,
That will be again

Much
I can trust
In this.
See you at the line!

Well done Laddy!
I just saw you win the race,
And Daddy is smiling now.
One day Laddy
You will need to race again,
And Daddy will run with you Son….

Back for another listen. I was wondering whether the shine would have worn off after a few days... NAH! It's still wonderful :-)

I commented without reading previous comments earlier. I deleted it fearing my meaning could be misconstrued. It is a wonderful song and I thank you from the heart for letting us share it. I agree with Andrew, not all songs give you a feeling. This one does.

Had to give this another listen before I lock myself away in the room with too many guitars. Thanks for the inspiration.

No problem :-) I hope a lot of people hear it. For me, it's one of those songs/performances that gives the listener a lot of reward for just listening. My missus thinks so too (and she's the one who ALL of my stuff goes through before it gets out - I don't post anything without her reassurance first!). Not all songs do this. And the writer never really knows that they've done it, or whether they're imposing on people with it if they have... The minute I heard it I knew this was one (might not be for everyone, I guess, but it is for me and Mrs R), and I suspected you might need to know it was cool and needs to be "out there"...

T So glad you put this one up on here. Tis still as beautiful as when I first heard it this morning. The song itself, simple and from the heart. And the performance matches it. Wonderful creation.

Hey Rick. Thanks bro! It is a song about two people. My Son's Saul and Ethan. In particular it is about Saul's first sports day and the Sports day that Ethan will never have in this life.. Ethan Passed away unexpectedly on the 1st May in his sleep at 19 days old. I did one live track with vocal and guitar for Saul, and then did one vocal for Ethan in the background after as the song is about him as well. Thanks again bro. Peace T
