Great recreation of early 60's pop sounds, very cool. The only thing that really gives it away is the vocal harmony, not sure why. Maybe it would have been doubled or something, or buried further in the mix.
Reminds me of some Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd -- back when the were The Pink Floyd and released not LPs but rather 45s like See Emily Play. Very groovy, cool, far out sounds. Thanks for reflecting this juicy era of music!
She wakes across the ocean, and sighs when she discovers...the man who's sleeping with her looks like her last two lovers. No one wants to be a banana head.
Another number that reminds me of The Outsiders and The Youngbloods and other bands and songs of the Psychedelic '60s and the reign of the hippies over the music industry in that era. Solid GOLD, man!
Only the 2nd time in my 54 years on the planet that I've heard a song sung from the perspective of one who died in a car crash, so while I can't say it hasn't been done before, it's still rather rare. What I can say is that this one is by far the superior of the two. Great job -- lyrically, vocally, and musically!
I’m on AloneTone as Gene Eric Mann (generic man), Justin Otter Guy (just another guy), Merry Bear, and Nightmoth. I really appreciate that you listened to ALL my Nightmoth recordings – those old children songs are particular horrid numbers, recorded before I knew much about what I was doing. Anyway, I’m here to return as much of the time and ear you lent to me as I can and play your 13 gems.
I already dig “Breakfast” and “Boyfriend” so I’m sure I’ll get a kick from the rest. Your style turns me on and tickles my fancy. Thanks for the listen and always, always, ROCK ON!
A nice mid '60s flavor in the neighborhood of songs like "Time Won't Let Me" and bands like The Outsiders -- the genre I fell for when I got my first radio on my 6th birthday. I really enjoyed this -- Rock on!
THIS IS A SUPER COOL RECORDING! But when I tried to play the video, I got this message: "An error occurred, please try again later." Thought you might like to know.

Okay to laugh here, music is supposed to be fun, right? My attempt at writing a jug band style song. Yup, I used a dang kazoo:-/ And some whistling :-) Kind of sounds like a 'chicken' clucking away in this... hmmm. Maybe an ear worm just…
For my January 2026 REM Drone Orchestra contribution, topic of "reverb and effects", in the key of G mixolydian pentatonic (G, B, C, D, F), I made a new preset on the Deluge, played it live, and post-processed in Audacity. The preset uses an analog…
Another for the RPM Challenge ....when will this bloody rain stop want to see the sun again....is it still up there?
Rain
Seeing the Sunrise in the morning
Then life wouldn’t be too bad
with this rain pouring down…
Another for the RPM Challenge ...... Reg got broke by three little words
Three little words
She said
I love you
but she lied to me
She told me I was hers
till the end
Those three little words made me lose my way…
You say "We look happy here"
Pointing at a picture frame
My arm around your shoulder
all this happiness, never any pain
Your mom pinned it on the fridge
Called it "perfect finally"
But no one saw you later
yelling "This is killing me…
A night hawk sings. A church bell rings. Echoes flood the night.
A stillness tides past the languids of the park. Then you shuffle by.
Beneath your mack, though there is no rain, your eyes catch mine for a while.
You stop, I suppose to see…
Another for the RPM challenge ....this time Reg has a new love and it's going so well he's started to think a little too well and something is bound to go wrong with it ..........
sometimes
Can’t see the sunset for the rain…
(Week 5 of 52)
Put my suitcase in the back seat
I know you couldn't change my mind
But all that glitters, all that shines
Never felt like it was mine
Learned the train lines, dives and bars
Learned to sleep with honking cars
But all the…
Regs mate Charlie is going through a bad time but he knows the good times are just around the corner....
The good times
Well he’s sat in the bunkhouse
Sitting there thinking about life as its passing him by
He knows…
A little background to Reg ....everyone he meets tells him just to stop and sort himself out ....is it really that easy
DIY
They tell me I’ve got to do it my self
Its just a touch of DiY
To pull my self…
(Song 4)
Hair net tossed on the table
Name tag still pinned to my shirt
Work boots wait on the front step
but they might walk out on me too
I've got no one left to care for
No one left to hear my prayer
Talking to the kitchen window…
(Song 3 this year)
When you're younger,
you're everything or so it seems
Then you start becoming a ghost in the years between
People say things about you like
"He was always so nice"
"Such a good guy" , "Such a shame"
or " he always…
You were here then you were gone
Crystal black in morning cold
Hand too tired to touch the earth
Or stars above Moravia
Born under a silent moon
At your feet the hens and mules
Bay and cry, I know they do
Here I am, and where are you…

I dig how y'all blended, mixed down and mastered the vocal tracks -- fabulous job!
A wee bit of Hawaiian spice sprinkled upon this one -- tasty. Y'all blend superbly, vocally. Loving that Youngbloods-like guitar effect. Beautiful!
Y'all did an amazing, fabulous, exceptional job with this number. Excellent! ROCK ON!

Dig that guitar! Nice effect, sweet picking. Groovy, colorful sounds all around.

Things that go together: lava lamp, tie-dyed shirt, incense smoke, headphones, and music by The Proods!
The folks under 40 between 1964 and 1970 would have ate this song up! A brilliant composition and a delicious production!

I can relate. Nice song.

Wow...nice build up! Amazing vocal. Another GREAT song.
Again...soulful. Beautiful.
This is the perfect range for your vocal!
Amazing lyrics!
Best wishes for Charlie....great tune.
Perfecto!
Great vocal...sounding a bit loose. It's nice.
Of course I'm a sucker for the 12 string, but this is just magical.
I love it...kept waiting for a hook that never came, but I guess that's what made it compelling.
Great lyrics.
Hypnotic....mesmerizing, and aptly named. Great.
It's a beautiful song.....and it speaks to those of us of a certain age. Bravo, Nick.
Wonderful.
