Tuba Man

This one has been sitting around for a while but I feel it’s the best or most interesting of my most recent posts. The inspiration came from listening to an old CD I have of a great band from the 90’s. If anybody can name the band that I gained inspiration from you get bonus points!

The song itself is a smorgasbord of samples from different sources and a combination of some custom patches that I did in Reason. The Tuba patch I think was exactly how it came out of Reason.

This will be the last song I post for a while because I’m moving!! I’ve been trying to sell my house for the past year and a half and my wife and I have decided to rent it out and buy a house closer to our work places. We found a great place with lots of character and lots of room for me to record! Lots of hard floors and high ceilings!

Once I get moved and settled in I’ll be able to set my drums up once again and plan on revisiting my roots of alternative music with walls of guitar and live drums. I will still strive to keep my compositions quirky and original but it will be a more even blend of sampled and live instruments.

Thanks for listening to my rambling and once I get moved I hope to collaborate with several of you in the future.

haha, i like this, happy, chaotic, a bit menacing perhaps. great use of what reason has to offer to make sounds that are unique and interesting. i like the direction you are taking with your electronic stuff.
