The first time I tried to rap. :-) I was trying to write an album different than anything I've ever done, so I decided to do a rap album. Rap isn't my top choice for musical genres these days, but as a kid I loved it, so I wanted to "go back…

Just a simple instrumental. My wife was working on a new piano style one night, and when she was done practicing, I decided to try my hand at it. I flubbed up the very first chord, but I loved the way my flub sounded, so I wrote a whole song…

Another instrumental. Several years ago I got a Behringer V-amp, and the first day I had it I wanted to play around with some of the odd guitar tones.
This was the result of that playing around.

Oh Raven who was solid black
Your color has faded and now you lack
Oh Raven you were once a pretty bird
You'd caw and cackle to be heard
Oh Raven you were so absurd…

the lead synth line is 1/8 beat longer than other measures. It repeats 3 times at 8/8 and then the last one 9/8, which causes the lead to sound slightly more varied throughout the track. it starts a little later each time..

After yesterdays experiment with noise gates and vocal transformers I thought I'd have another go using Rytme as the source material.

From a poem Julie wrote at age nine, "The Whispering Wind", comes a song composed in collaboration with Grant Duncan. This is rock, pop with a blustery story.

Lyrics for 'Wild and Free' came while looking at a painting of the head of a horse. Composed by Julie Day and Grant Duncan in 2007, this rock song has a swing element to it. Enjoy.

'Time' is an ambient piece; which is said to reflect human nature from one point of view. This is a slow melodic new age/world genre short song. Someone who listened said it would best serve in pre-meditative scenarious.
