Imagining my band imaginary band in my head on one of those 60's type music shows. Just having fun with this one nothing too serious lyrically like solving world peace or finding high consciousness ..although it really is a true story.

My nephew Spencer or (SZC) as he goes by wrote this song entirely as we were talking about the sad news of Robin Williams passing in a conversation last year and how it felt. So he asked me to do the vocals and guitar.. He will be joining alonetone…
What happened to the colors of expression in the arts? I miss the 60's and 70's. Enough said.
Notes from my rock and roll music theory class...
Find a riff and milk it! Check .
Find a four chord bed of lettuce to put that wonderful salad…

I have always liked songs that have many parts.I remember as a kid listening to Uncle albert by Paul McCartney and think it was the coolest song ever so I was influenced by that.
Terrible recording due to my old studio set up dying, but a nice keepsake of just how bad things became before the rebuild.
Lyrics by Brent Kinder.

another sad one...Will she?

She's smelling the last rose of summer
The stem stands high in her hand
Looking at its colour
Can this really be the day, summer ends…
Volcano was one of the first tracks that the Proods uploaded to Alonetone, it was fun because it features the Prood gals who aren't always available to jam.
This is hypnotic..diggin' the chord progression. Can't figure out why my new track wouldn't play for you. I've had several complaints of that. Not sure what's going on.My email is on my profile page I can always send it. Peace !
In a parallel universe the 60's were even cooler ( if that is even possible ) and they had this on the radio and everyone went to the beach and got sunburn because sunscreen wasn't invented yet but no one cared.
I have issues at my house, sometimes they manifest themselves in my tracks. In this case, the bassoon and oboe represent the mouse. The guitar is the peanut-butter.
That bassoon and oboe is so catchy I'll bet the mouse got caught . Yeah the guitar is smooth not chunky style the way I prefer it. Really loose and yet cohesive at the same time. A big thumbs up !
Here is my contribution to the latest song writing challenge offered by the Minnesota Songwriters.

Psychonaut
--
Psychonaut adrift
in the hazy realm
of confusion
When you
come back to us
won't you please
do your best
to remember
where you've been
to remember
what you've learned
Psychonaut, o psychonaut
adrift upon…
Backwards piano loop disappearing in a hazy sea of reverb.
Inspired by long hours sitting in airport lounges, and with nods to Brian Enos "Music for Airports".
Don't go to the streets
Where they put you to the ground
Where they put you to the wall
And they steal your broken heart
Don't go to the streets
Where they say that it's ok
Where they've seen it all before
And they put you to the wall
The hand…

Steve Krell (SLKrell) and I have been feuding over the same girlfriend for a while now. In fact, there are several songs about her on Alonetone. Here is the latest in the story:
SLKrell says it’s a drag
Rosie made him pack his bag
Always…

Another download...60's and 70's were the ACME! You nailed it!
I had to download it to dig it, but it was well worth it. VERY COOL track!
I like how this ebbs and flows. I think I'm living the theme of this song. Who knew there was more to life than hanging around drinking beer.
Nice cooperative effort between you and Soencer! Beautiful
Very nice track! Thanks for the comments and stopping to listen!
Great vibe! Some truly original & psychedelic music came into existence in 67 & 68... love this tribute! Great production! :-)

Oh yes ! nice riff ! Take me back to Hendrixville.
wow. Really well written and played. This is perfect with coffee and a cloudy morning in October. Reminds me of Tori Amos.
Nice chord progression.
