Thanks to Robert Palomo for giving this a little sound engineering. Robert said “ I mixed thru my mastering plugin (Ozone 5).

WordsMightBethe Weapon ToCreateThePerfect Crime

If I had a dollar for everything I done
To help you through this crazy world
Since my life begun
I’d be standing here before you a very wealthy man
Instead of begging for my life and hope you understand

Too long since you sang my praise, I barely can recall
One more hurtful thing you said
Hoping I might fall
Wind it up, deliver and knock me down to size
I guess I saw it coming I could see it in your eyes

Nothing less than murder in the first degree
I never found the reason
You put your sights on me
One thing that I’ll give you, you’ve done it every time
Words might be the weapon to create perfect crime

No entry wound to show you, no bruises to be found
No one can quite imagine, you’re just the sweetest thing around
But I am here to tell you, You are killing me
Now you’re locked and loaded, I’m facing destiny

I, like you, use to do electric guitar in my HS years, but also migrated to acoustic. Is that progress? I think so -- this song here would be much less effective if juiced up with distortion and wah wah and the other toys of our youth. This song is hard core as it is, and needs no electricity to get its message across.

I recon this is my favorite Connor tune thus far. That is some coolacious strumming -- quite nifty in fact. The vocals and harmonica are exceptional. Yeah, this one really does in for me.

Oh my, GREG! I'm with Ron -- I love all your stuff, but this one really tops them all. A whole new. different level for you! Wow! I am totally impressed and blown. A damn fine song, well strummed and sung, and great lyrics. Love the harmonica too. A really fabulous, great job -- Rock the hell on, friend, Rock the hell on!

Tell me with a straight face you were NOT thinking "David Crosby"! ;-) Really sounds like a Cros tune. Along the lines of "Wish I Were a Camera". Not that your voice doesn't work, but I'd love to hear him do this.
