Yes, you have captured a 15th century feel with the beautiful mandolin? Then the pomp of the trumpet. Cleverly done. I would like to hear more of the mandolin style you have here sometime, it's gorgeous.

two improvised 12 string guitar lines
bass line ( I took a few takes)
improvised piano
Norm's percussion in Tumbao rhythm

(my apologizes to any real such persons,, i am currently on a tony hillerman kick)
well done friends R
this is an amazing work,, a standout (at least my opinion) amonst your many many fine pieces...
as Alister says it is well balanced,, and oh so interesting,, the fade in and out of the guitar and ? is very very brilliant, it really pulls you in,,, well well done R
very fine, the underlying drums are really cool, what sort of synth/program are you using? and does one go about learning how to do such fine work,, any suggestions would be appreciated

This is a piece that uses MOTU Ethno 2. All but percussion and voice were performed my Fender Mustang and midi recorded via Roland GR-20. The piece uses the Almak tuning included in Ethno 2. [Amlak recurrent sequence (x^2 = x + 1/3), as a matrix…
did a remix of latest B-52s (ex B-52's) song "Funplex". i admit i didn't really take the time to polish this, so it might have some flaws here and there, but it was fun to do and after all, is this not what matters most? :)
and you can…
This is a little piece dedicated to the lost world island of Socotra that grabs a lot of instrumentation from across Asia with little discrimination - the melodic instruments use Afshari with the exception of the Jaw harps which use 9-tET Sorog.

im sitting alone in my home,, it's near midnight and im listening to this a amazingly cool piece,, this is also very rich, your music is evocative and amazingly able to carry/pull me the listener along into its soundscape,, wonderful .. question,, it seems to cut out about 20 sec or so before the cut ends?
Comments on richardlaceves's stuff
Soothing. Pretty. The pieces all have a beethoven moonlight sonata quality.
Its nice but just when I thought it was too progression-y at aroun 3 min, the piece changed direction. The mood stayed the same though. Nice work.
Wow your piano touches are unique & mystic! i can listen to your music catalog all day...just like having my Beethoven station on.
Tasteful!
