2021 50/90 Song Number 49

I like this one and I can’t figure out why. It’s certainly not because of the recording because it’s pretty hacky. You can pretty much hear every punch and every edit. It’s certainly not because of the vocals because let’s all just agree that it was a bad day and move on with our lives.

No… I think… I think it might be the four bar 1/2 verse after the first guitar solo. I think it’s all down to that. I think that little nod to the first verse coming back near the end of the song is all it takes for me to like this one. It’s funny how that happens sometimes. I think I want to do this one again and try to get through all of the parts in single, live takes. It will likely never happen but I think it would make a gigantic difference.

The guitars are my Les Paul Standard. The rhythm tracks used a mooer e-lady into a Klon KTR into a Vox AC15. The leads used a Ryra the Klone into a Keeley D&M Drive (just the Mick side) into a Fender Bassbreaker 15.

Chorus
Nothing left to do
but to stick it out
await the final answer
as we see it through
It’s without a doubt
Its time to close this chapter

Verse 1
I can’t help that I feel guilty
It’s coming whatever will be

Verse 2
What happens when this is finished
what happens if something is missed

Half Verse
I can’t help that I feel guilty

Saved!
