Not if I See You First

This one is a little weird. I had just minutes before written most of a song called “Not in this Lifetime” and was putzing around on the internet. I went to songfight.org and saw that the current week’s line was “not if I see you first”. Well that sounded like something I could use. My first thought was to work it into “Not in this Lifetime” but I sort of had an idea where that one needed to go so I decided to start something new.

This is that second song. I didn’t consciously write something just like “Not in this Lifetime” but that is exactly what I ended up with. The two songs are similar enough to be interchangeable. I am considering making it a medley when I piece together the final RPM Challenge CD.

Oh, and I didn’t finish it in time to submit it to songfight, so I have still never pulled one of those off.
