Based on an improvisation by Rog Hildreth, Stuart Jewkes and Tom Goy. We used to live in university halls together and would frequently improvise songs as people entered the room. The best of these was for Riona. Stu and I recreated it here with…

Another festive cover, this was recorded in December 2010.

This is a cover of the Wings song 'Bluebird', written by Paul & Linda McCartney and recorded by me back in 2009.

Thanks very much for your comments. I went to see McCartney live last month, absolutely brilliant. He didn't play this, but he did do plenty from Band On The Run.

This was the first time I ever tried doing a Christmas song (December 2008), so I figured I would do one in an older style, with psychedelic tinges. I added some Dickensesque material to the front, complete with old radio show style sound effects…
Great stuff!
Is the Holiday Challenge on this year? Couldn't see anything about it online but I did one anyway (although mine's probably not eligible as I think it'll still be in copyright).
A song to get up and dance to, much like you get and dance when someone whose loudly voiced opinions you don't share is sent packing. Narcissism and hero worship have no place in a civilized world. ;)
I've hidden from you for no reason at all
No context at all, just my habit, my fault
Just my habit to blame, no reason at all
Not earnest at all, just a pretext to thought
Your wish for peace, it's drowning down the well
That's where…
I actually wrote this awhile back, but I've wanted to re-arrange it and record it with better quality, so here it is. Everything is me except the drums which are loops.
This one has a good groove, but I admit you won't dance as much to this one. Grab a drink and just listen and tap your feet. Turning yourself around with conviction drives through every beat...
TURN ROUND
All your turns
All your pain
Lessons learned
Will remain
Hiding in the silence of a footstep
Some familiar sound
Walking toward the east before the sunset
Turn round
Lost in thought
Troubled mind
All you’ve fought…
It's over baby it's over
It's too late to explain
Before we Blow up again
Oh we thought that We were so much better
than those People with their Problems
why Couldn't they just Solve them
So why Are we the Ones that get those stares…
Summer Sun
Sitting in the summer sun
The heat warms the soul
Sitting reminiscing
Got no particular place go
life is all around me
The motion of the birds and bees
Is like heaven to me
Heaven to me
I lay out in an open field
Making…
