So... Reichenbach is now called **Reichatron**.
I felt that the new sonic mangling possibilities of the ensemble were reminiscent of a Japanese monster movie than a composer of beautifully intricate harmonies.

I think I may have gone too far!
I've been working on the Reichenbach signal chain to include filtering, distortion, EQ, and a resonator. I've also switched out the delay and gone hog wild with modulation.

A rather more fundamentally experimental piece with Reichenbach's new *drift* mode. In this mode a probability matrix controls periodic changes in the loop length and/or position.

ok, that was an interesting comment by Sister. hehe...me and my visualizing things and all...I pictured raindrops coming to life and breaking into cars and what not. lol...

This is a short experiment with Version 0.99.9 of my *Reichenbach* phase-shifted looping Reaktor ensemble (try saying that 3 times fast!)
I took a 2 second long piano sample and fed it into the loopers which were running at 0.98x, 1.0x, and…
Another experiment with Reichenbach, my phase-shited looping ensemble for Reaktor 5. This time I fed it a sample from the [Rekkerd.org](http://rekkerd.org/downloads/) mixed bag selection #2 called `106_sandylines_01.wav`.
I let the sample play…
Part of a sound walk that takes place through the Station North district of Baltimore. This piece is the last segment of the walk.
Live 8, Logic, field recordings, clay flute, and samples from Tennyson's "Bugle Song".
4 stereo guitar tracks played out one at a time.
Another late night - early morning recording.
I like to keep a positive attitude about the things that haunt me, but sometimes dreams change course unexpectedly, and the worms creep in.
24-hour album.
This album is a collage of several disconnected pieces recorded & mixed over 18 hours or so.
I've left it as a single long track, but here's a sort of navigational guide if you want to skip around:

Half way through and, so far, this has been quite a trip. I love how you have blended ambience and anti-ambience without a huge explosion! It's quite freaky to be surrounded by heavy grinding guitars and know that, just moments ago, I was bathing in a smooth still pond.
i remember the exact moment my tears fell...
this song was written for my dad...it sums up the loss i feel...i dealt with my emotions in the only way i know how...
I frequently go on training skates on a beach front trail. The parking lot is just off of a major highway bridge (the Burlington Skyway for those that know it). It's always an interesting sound there...
I recently acquired got a little Pocketrax…
Well... what do you say?
I think you have made something very beautiful and involving. I love the way that, at the beginning (especially but also, to a degree, throughout the piece), the whole thing moves as if riding waves.
The sounds are interesting but seem to blend quite seamlessly, I think the arrangement is very good. I particularly like the use of resonation, I think it creates a great ambience towards the end of the track.
I really wasn't ready for it to end.
A typical folk song.
Written and recorded in about an hour for the 24 hour album (attempted on March 13th). Excuse roughness and vocal glitches, it was 2am and this was my first full take.
Thanks to montgomeru for his chord suggestions…
Kind of a chillout, lullaby type tune.
—
Notes:
I think the shaker comes in too strong. I think the intro goes on for probably 1 or 2 more phrases than it should.
Gurgling, bubbling, churning.
This is the last track of the March 2010 24 hour challenge.
The process...
- find some interesting synth sounds (have collected many)
- work out some basic chords
- do some filtering
- add two tracks of e-bow…
So I just figured out that the EXS24 sampler instrument in Logic Pro (the DAW I use) can also import SoundFont2 files, which I happened to have a bunch of from a previous life as a Cakewalk user. All the tracks in this tune were played using old…
Well i gues i was just sitting bored at home in new years even and i came up with the hook , then just worked on it on and off, and ended up with this.
Hope you enjoy it :)
Very much. I'd say time well spent. The percussion has a really crisp snap to it that I love (wish I could figure that trick out myself) and everything layers well and sounds great. Kudos!
I came up with the initial rhythmic riff on my bass, then looped it to create the basis for this track. Then, I layered another "lead" bass track on top of that, added some percussion, and finally topped it off with an electric piano-ish sound…
I wanted to play more directly with noise of various kinds so this piece focuses less on techniques and fancy plugins and more on selection & arrangement of sounds.
I spent many hours going through Reaktor ensembles I've downloaded searching…
Thanks again for all the kind words. I think the next piece will be very largely based on vocals, if I can get some more female voices to balance things out!
Comments on Mr Sandbags's stuff
Interesting looking interface for that software in your video...
I love how when I read your descriptions I feel as if I'm in a modern music school! :)
Jasmine Savage says, 'That's nice!' (She doesn't have her own log in.)
You are getting there mate sounds good
Very cool sounds, but I think you'd better look out your window because the villagers are coming and they're carrying torches and clubs!
What's in your attic?
Cool sounds you are getting here mate dig it.
nice stuff. this is very experimental work.
great weird stuff sandbags. keep making more of it.
Thanks folks, your comments made me smile :)
This is weird, but very cool. Like listening to some heated argument in an alien language!
More coolness. Something that rewards repeated listens.
If Dali made music this is what it would be like. nice but disturbing
Some kind of underground bug conference, with drinks.
Well I think its all going in the right direction mate
All your stuff is like a big abstract soundtrack, it's great stuff, you should do a film with all of it in!
ok, that was an interesting comment by Sister. hehe...me and my visualizing things and all...I pictured raindrops coming to life and breaking into cars and what not. lol...
Raindrops...turning to crime.
Beautiful mate nice one.
Another very cool one mate

Awesome piece you've made here. So much in it but all blended superbly. I especially love the voices towards the end.
Oh yeah, liked this a lot.
Really enjoyed this piece.
Well you were wondering yesterday how it would come together and I can tell you, it came together great! An amazing effort, bravo!

Beautiful playing and something reminiscent of Glu about the birdsong & engine noise which works really well here. Kudos!
Full of desolation and dark overtones. Beautiful.

You may be surprised to hear it, but I really like this one!
Beautiful.
Strange and understated, I really love this.
Cool sound. More gritty bass which we like :)

Like this one a lot, it's got a haunting quality to it.
You asked for criticism but I can't give you any. I can only echo dAb and Sister's comments; this is great.

Love your sound.
You're having wayyyy too much fun here :)
I think the two of you should be congratulated, then taken into care :)
Ah the infamous!
