Josephine - Vocal 94
yes…actually vocals on this one. My buddy Dave laid down some vocals to the lyrics I wrote back in 1994…original arrangement from ’91 to be uploaded later…this recording was pulled from a cassette tape and not mixed…sorry for quality issues…
the words…
Josephine stands alone, staring through her window, at the pouring rain
She sits there alone, feels a chill in her bone, she senses the pain
Josephine works late night, down at the corner bar, serving drinks to the drunks
She takes care of herself, she’s got no one else, to be there by herside
(Chorus)
Night after night
It’s the same old lines, same old fights
Day after day
She keeps hoping her life would change
Josephine has style, in the way that she moves, in the warmth of her smile
But people don’t understand, she’s not looking for love, or a one night stand
(Repeat Chorus)
She’s so cold and lonely tonight…
If she could only…somehow… make it right
It’s 3:30 AM, softly she sleeps, sweet dreams fill her head
But when morning comes, the dreams are all gone, it’s raining outside…again
Josephine weeps alone, staring through her window, at the pouring rain
She sits there at home, feels a chill all her own, she can’t stop the rain
(Repeat Chorus)
