Thanks Jason. It means a lot coming from an innovative musician/songwriter such as you. Yeah I am thinking of laying some vocals. Got to carve in some room between the loud guitar parts. I am new to recording vocals and my singing sucks ass. ;) The guitar part is just one clean and one overdriven tone panned left and right. Everything else is from a Korg M50 and a microkorg.
well I must say that this is a sound I've tried to achieve and always fail... if this is just a demo I want to know how it'll turn out when you hear what it was that you were looking for... are you going to write lyrics?
Just a few seconds into this song, and it comes alive with a subtle intensity. Emotions captured, and released, beautifully, some controled passion here. very cool
Music stems from the pic of my little girl at Biltmore. Lyrics from an intoxicated evening w/ some imagination which were written in 2010-11 in Nashville, TN and Jacksonville, FL under the influence of V...the life force...
The Words:
Sometimes…
Holly molly, this gave me chills. Could well be part of a movie soundtrack. Really well recorded and mixed. I am listening to it LOUD and it sounds great.
Another demo (no vocals) from 2011.
some words:
Standing there, a victim of red tail lights
A witness to pointless fights
A guardian of fragile fright
A savior who’s with you tonight
Imagine a better place
Imagine a better life…
This is really great. The very first beat reminded me of New Order. Now I am hearing some Cars influence. But I am probably wrong. ;) Good stuff though.
None of us knows where we'll be tomorrow,
Let alone 2 weeks from this date.
Will I still be in this place?
"It's okay", she says, "I'll definitely call you later."
If I don't go and forget to,
And if I'm still living here.
Can we say we see a…
Ill Drink a little slower
can't make my mind slow down
Im thinking of nothing
at a million miles an hour
makes me burn a little deeper
Chorus
But all my dreams are gone
you were there before it burned away
and all our love is done
im just looking…
A new rock song.
baby i wont take the blame
for all the things you know i couldn't say
twist and turn i go
you're tearing at my soul
just don't wanna fade away
fade away
And I….
don't wanna speak tonight
and i……
don't wanna fight tonight…
This is an Acoustic piece that was inspired by a Journey in a Dream I had that took me to a strange place between earth and another place in space and time, I went to a train station and entered a train that went up into space to some very strange…
Jamming with a couple buddies. I screwed the lyrics up but it was fun to do. Who doesn't want to at least try an AC/DC tune?
A live recording:
Me: Vox, Bass
Joel: Guitar, Backing Vox
Chris: Drums, Backing Vox
the sound in the intro, that carries through out the song, I made by taking a the sound of a saw cutting some metal and I warped it using processing effects. What resulted sounded like a bunch of androids marching.
Another song i recently composed using loops
and midi applications. the end was a bit abrupt
but want to see how this is liked before i
progess any furthe thanks take care NEIL .
