Trying out a new strat: not letting myself work on details on the computer until the skeleton of the song is complete. Result is a lot of variety in songwriting, but a bit rougher arrangement/mix.

Forgive me. All this time of hanging around Alonetone I don't believe I have ever listened to your music Sudara. Lovely and much color and just comes to a natural end. Thanks for creating this place to let us all just freely upload and be.
your wurli floating glide touch is quite solid, sir - very, very nice
and yes, synth, please
(greetings from the dead, who might be in the process of rising again k&w ;-) )

I'm trying to experiment with intentionally combining two different sounds. Since I seem to find this difficult I am starting with using a drone as one of the sounds taking my inspiration from the opening tracks of the Brian Eno & Jah Wobble…
Part of the Sunny, Sorta project.
Music & Lyrics written by Angie Fights Crime.
there's a bomb in the back
as we head down the tracks
but we can only go so fast
there's a man on our trail
pack of dogs with no tails
this kind of excitement…
This song is written by Keith Landry.
He asked me to sing it and off course I wanted that!!
Thank you Keith!
About "Keep It Simple (with Inge)"
Well, I wrote this song as a note to my wife (who makes lists from time to time). I thought…
This song is a parody to the Austrians. Just how they talk, how they whine about everything.
It basically tells you to look at the bright side of life.

After watching the video of the tsunami devastating the shores of Japan, I couldn't work anymore. So instead I sat down to dedicate a few hours of…
@Andrew I think I know what you mean. With the rate that information travels these days, I often find it hard to internalize and/or find a space to truly process and "feel" each event. Are we humanly capable of doing so? On top of that it's hard to hear my own true feelings and reactions above the chatter of the media, friends, etc.
The footage this music was made for hit me hard. At the same time I was really annoyed with the announcers wanting to explain what was going on. I need silence when viewing something like this, a human talking over this footage is irreverent and shameful to me. Does that make sense? I made this piece of music because this is my silence, or put another way, an example of sound that hopefully respects the image by pulling the watcher in, giving them space to feel what this means and not babbling in their ear.
Lullaby for Josephine - written by Laura Kepner-Adney
Now it’s time to go to sleep
Send my love to your dreams
Now it’s time to say goodnight
Kiss you once, hold you tight
Stars falling wherever you are
Send my love to the stars…
This is from years ago, living in santa fe.
I loved driving around in my little 1980s toyota corolla and listening to cassettes. I loved the way they sounded.
So I took a piano song I was working on, recorded it to cassette, dragged mic…
Otherwise known as the 'opus'. This song was my life for a good year. Left forgotten in the dusty hills of Santa Fe. This is pretty much the A section :)
I made this simple song to try out playing an acoustic guitar with an ebow. It works, but it's quite quiet. The movement of the fingers on the fretboard is louder than the sounds. I didn't use any effects on the guitar tracks.
I recorded my voice…
Something I'm working on. I'm a sucker for 5/4 time these days.
The biggest issue is the vocals which are sort of a placeholder right now until I re-write and re-record them, or maybe even find someone who can actually sing to lay something down!
Sweeeeeet. Wow, awesome drums, awesome rhythm, loving it, really nice organsynth/guitar. Ending kicks some ass, love the way the beat drops back in. Only problem with the vocals that I hear is that they are hidden/not loud enough, but that's for my taste :)
Go Go Go! We should invent a new word for these kind of collaborations. Maybe "hand-offs" or "tag-team" or hrm...I basically got to sit back and watch the tune become awesomer without lifting a finger. Win! I'll try and think up a good word. Nice job.
Comments on Sudara's stuff
low mix of the street like ensemble drums makes this really flow!
Dangling crystals and ambient light.
Sargent Pepper and dig the guitar lines and sense of the bedroom recording possibly!

Still one of my favourite guitar melodies.
This is so beautiful…
This is quite the Triumph! Nice work!

Yes please! I would love to hear some wurli/synth magic from that beautiful brain of yours.
Great song!
Waves of elegance
I love this - not rough at all. The lyrics are really compelling. Love the bridge….
It gets cooler and better the more I listen to it. I love the vibe, the lyrics. Awesome
This is super interesting.
Nice song! You mentioned it was rough, but it doesn’t sound that way. I think you’ve captured it.
Juicy, delicious
Loving the long, baroque-esque melody.
Awesome sound!! Sounds really epic, especially the lower notes.
Keep it rolling brother. Beautiful tones.

Lovely overall sound on this track.
Listening again to this piece. Boat-tastic.
Listened to this twice in a row, it has a really nice mood.
Oh, and I love the crunchy stuff coming in after 3:00
Right up my alley. Enjoyable and full of lovely spoken voice.
Really a great track!
So awesome to hear something new from you!
Awesome! Super happy you signed up, even more happy that there's some music on alonetone in austrian dialect. Studying the lyrics....Oida!
