Like anyone who happens to look, I see the signs of a failing economy all over the Country. This song is a effort to encourage folks to struggle for a more open and equitable system for the financial benefit of all of us.
Any resemblance to the Yiddish word Chutzpah is of the purest intent. With a doff of the hat to Sheldon Alan "Shel" Silverstein ...and Mad magazine for all of their influences. that indeed did rot my brain
There's a definite degree of a Bob Dylan element in this one. I like the flavor, the lyrics, the energy. You remain one of my very favorite Folk songwriter!
The struggle continues for the decent working folks to survive in a world run by "greed graft and corruption." which by a strange coincidence is the law firm that represents most of the enemy's.
An original song written by Chris Green. April 22nd is Earth Day and this song celebrates our planet and Mother Nature. See website: www.chrisgreenproject.com
An old Stephen Foster song (Pub. Domain)
Always waiting, hopeful sorrow.
Featuring my spouse, Marily!!!!
I could have picked a song to do her justice, next time. My phrasing is kind of hard to follow...
"Hey Motorman" was written for the 100 year celebration of the Ariel Lift Bridge.
The bridge was originally built in 1907 with a gondola that went from side to side carrying passengers and vehicles. It was later replaced with a lift system.
Elvis got philosophising in the cellar again last night.........................so Louie and Reg got Bluesy with him and this is what turned out of the session.........
DREAMER(Lyrics)
Well I asked the mirror if my dreams would come true…
Hanging out in the living room with one of my sons, just making stuff up. I wish I'd had the recorder closer to him - whistle too loud, guitar too soft.

I hear you G. its a mean old world, It was a take off on the Jesus's paribal of the rich man and Lazerus. and "to the extent that you did it to one of the least of these".It mostly says give a Sh#t.about people
come away, come away
away from trouble
away from care
come away, come away
away from sorrow
away from fear
may the cool wind find you
through a thousand thoughts unsaid
gather you in
weary day behind you
and you can lay your head…
