The Fisherman and the Wave (Lyrics)
Hush little child go back to sleep
Daddy will be back real soon
Hush little child go back to sleep
Daddy be back real soon
Hush little child go back to sleep
Daddy be back real soon
The storm clouds form to argue there wrath
as the boat disappears out into the dawn
today gonna be, a moment of truth
facing the fear of maybe not coming home
with Gods sweet earth a hundred miles away
they drift on out to the sea all alone
the storm clouds form, Thor’s voice can be heard
and the hammers of the lord come on crashing down
the cauldron of the sea, swirls all around
but all he can think of is you fast asleep
So Hush little child, don’t worry so, just go back to asleep
Daddy will be home, as soon as he can
but first he’s got to do the battle with sea
oh the waves they rage
and the boat it writhes
writhes on the cauldron of mad, mad, sea
but don’t you worry child he’ll be coming back home if he can
so hush now you go back to sleep close your eyes go back to sleep
oh how the waves crashed down on the deck of the broken ship
the man in wheel house got down on his knees to pray
his ship mates, hugged one another
they had never seen such rage come out of the sea
the wave crashes down with so much force
that it smashes through window in the wheel house and there all gone
the water, has drowned them all
and the boat goes sinking down to the depths of the sea
but, hush now child, go back to sleep, daddy will be home if he can
hush now child close your eyes, close your eyes and go back to sleep
Great Vox as usual. keep up the excellent work bud.
Ouchie! Bittersweet beauty.
A very sad tale beautifully done. Nice one!
The instrumental on its own didn't grab me (sorry MTC! It was mighty fine but it didn't move me). But this... wow, not only does it work like this - very well - it makes sense of the original instrumental for me. Fine FINE work chaps.
you pull me in,, sweeping me away,,,i drift along your vocal pictures floating in my mind, what a wonderful colab!! i am most amazed!!
