I wrote this song for a benefit I played for the Yellowstone wolves. It is the true story of the reintroduction of the wolves in
Yellowstone Park . It's an ongoing controversy between the out laying rangers and environmentalist

What a fabulous composition. The music is gorgeous and the lyrics are so well written and so powerful. Great delivery, vocally. Nice mix-down job. Marvelous!

I love the Ideas of the Wolves running free, except I feel also for the family's making their living out there. It will remain my hope that the balance will be reached.

I do think that the endorsement of this God fellow is very often taken for granted by many different nations, many different times throughout history....I think he might pipe up and protest one day.....good song ,not just pertinent to old Uncle Sam though.......I mean come on, Jesus is an Englishman !
;P

I have tos say that I get hacked off at how many of you guit artists get such wonderful tones, nuances and resonances on your acoustics and mine sound as flat as a cow pancake !! Recording is such an art.......this is a delightful piece ....as a mado player I appreciate the mandolin trills ....don't know if you are using the guit or a mando cos it all blends seamlessly....
Cheers
Jarvo
a song done by many folk/country performers ,chokes me up every time. there are much better renditions of it out there in music land, buy those!. this I just wanted to add to my list of occupy songs. to drive home the point.
You can stay here Terry, no problem. (smile)
Love the tune but in today's world I think I'd be sleeping with one eye open if I let a perfect stranger spend the night. I've done it with people I kinda know and not all the time but most the time I got rip off or after a period time I could see I was being taken advantage of and when I'd tell them it's time to move on they'd get hostile. But I agree with the sentiment . I've been on both ends.
Love ur stuff. I hope u get the recognition u deserve. Both these songs u got loaded up are brilliant. But it seems that a lot of tunes here are full of high tech wonder and the brilliance in the complexity of your subject matter and the musical accompaniment with the guitar is exceptional. But I just think that as brilliant as it is and I'm sure there's more then a handful of people that can appreciate because it is so good how could you ignore it's going be buried neath a ever ending strream of musical uploads Maybe I'm wrong u never know if hte right person hears it that has the connections might be able to get it out there. But your songs will live on after your demise if there's anybody or anyway they can be played
Sometimes it's easier to run with the flawed routines we're familiar with than to turn over a new leaf..
Compare to "Firecracker" and "Livewire" from RPM 2010 and 2009 respectively.
Interesting, saw you hit on one of my tunes but hearing this I think you'd find Awakenings and Morning Prayer a better suit. These two songs and I have a few more are unrehearsed unplanned and totally spontanious, from one single improvised session. I know it's rough and primitive however it was picked right out of the cosmos
Mike, this is G-no from EZ, digging ur music. I joined flatpickers but I have some stuff that don't quite fit there .I came over to check Terry and signed on cuz I thought I had to to add a comment which I didn't but since I did I figure I'll load some stuff up. You be a jamming, sounds real good. I'll be checking you out
Comments on G-no's stuff
A question all should ask...very moving song, beautifully done.
Powerful, moving, with an important message. Love the flute. A good recording and song.
I hadn't listen to this one in a while -- it was time to pay it another visit. Still loving it. The lyrics move me.
Just saw your comment about SWEET RAIN. We moved from Palmdale to San Luis Obispo in 1952.
Great job -- beautiful!
A story that needed told and you told it well -- Rock on!

Eerie. Very good.
Really good Gene...
I like this a lot! Very spacey & meditative & then that last minute gets intense... Dig the vibra-slap!
Unusual haunting Oddly melodic It's all you Gene.
Great old song Gene, and you do just right.
I like this a lot Gene
Shake a fist at the perpetrators, and fore-mentors, reapers of profits, bought with the blood of the Innocent.
Lovely folk song with a message. Pretty finger picking.
