I hope you can see the above picture - I scored a 15 chord autoharp zither for $42 on ebay. 4 old guitar strings later (I save them... just in case :-) and a tuning against an organ patch she is working nicely again. Can't wait to show Emily…

This Prelude in 18ET comes from a challenge on the microtonal tuning list to write something in the whole tone scale that didn’t sound like Debussy or Satie. This prelude has decidedly Debussian whole tone passages. All 3 whole tone scales…

In response to a suggestion of Dr. Ozan Yarman I tried a tuning he created for a different project. I realized the composition using Garritan Personal Orchestra Baroque organs, Garritan World sample set Oud and Santoor samples performed on an…

Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph…. Thomas Paine.
Commemorating the epic struggle taking place in Wisconsin (USA) an improvised piece for orchestral, Indian, Chinese, and African percussion plus 3 synthesizers in harmonic series tuning. (A straight harmonic series from C1 and on up). Performed…
Well, you are not going to often hear a 70′s metal piece from me. I have to plead affection for genre as it is what I grew up with in my garage band days. In this piece I put to use my stratocaster copy strung up with “Not Even Slinky…

Ill Drink a little slower

Im thinking of nothing

Product of noodling around. Lead guitars are a combo of UAD's Nigel plugin and the Fractal Axe Fx. Clean guitars are the Fractal. The outro guitars are my Princeton Recording amp.
I played the piano's through my midi guitar and Axon. You can…
I had this mellow tune hanging around when I heard "Love is Life" by The Two Regs and thought I need to catch the other Reg while he's around.
Lucky for me he had the time, the voice, and the melody. We created this lovely tune.
I was electrified…

My first upload.
This is a cover of probably my favourite song of all time, by The Waterboys, who were introduced to me many years ago when the highlight of my week was Thursday night TV, pizza and quaffing Baileys.
Thanks to Sister S for…
i think the title says it all.....the easy ones from the Beatles music book........More Regged up beatles but no Elvis he has gone off in a sulk he never did like them and he thinks were doing too much of them.......
Sometimes, you just have to make a track so that you can play that big ass gong - you know the one im talking about.
4 guitar tracks and one for the gong. Various FX for guitar including a sustain FX which seems to go well with the gong droning…
I think sometimes you have stolen the essence of David Gilmore and concentrated it in your guitar. Is that possibly the same gong I had the pleasure to meet after a cheesy western?
I did this one to Norms track Proof....... it's about a disturbing dream...... i hasten to add it was Reg's dream not mine. So blame him................
my up coming IF comment: a most strange blues backing track but it works well. Some sounds remind me of the daxophone which I recently discovered. Very cool!
A song for a wet day in Sheffield Thanks Johnny.......another one for the Zep album.........I will have to sort out that first verse..........but i hope you enjoy..........
the zoom H2 is battery operated - or if you wish it can use an adapter. The guitar I used is this one http://chrisvaisvil.com/?p=436 Brad converted. Any noise is from the Marshall amp which seems to have a ground problem - at least in the room its in at the moment. I haven't been listening much because I've been editing a lot of video and it brings my machine to its knees.
Samples used in this tune from the NY subway this summer. Inspired by Dave Dunseath
3-12, just uploaded a new version of this with guitar- and some other changes
Comments on vaisvil's stuff
Nice sound to the zither- $42 on Ebay is a great deal.
You know, that photo really says it all. Good grief! Nice work here, Chris!
You can't make the noise if you don't have the toys! Nice find... gotta love ebay for instruments!
Seems so short! Very stirring!
i missed this when you put it up. you have done a great job off cutting mixing it.
Woah, epic!!! GREAT vocal work and super stirring music!!!!
Excellent!
~Dead.Can.Dance~
What an excellent sound brilliant
powerful stuff
I love the way it begins with the strings and the other instruments are worked in later. A very sombre piece indeed.

Wisconsin minimal opera:) cool piece.
You got some lungs when you want them! Cool and bold, great feel!
Out of body music.
I still use my Casio. It's a workhorse around here.
Great gear man. I remember those days. Your showing us your age :) Downloaded for my collection.....

I REALLY love the R channel guitar riff.
I'm like a clock.

very serene - I like it a lot.
almost joe cocker on the vocal Reg! sweet ballad!
I guess you brought your fans with you to AT. Where are you from?
great performance and song!
very unusual - reggae Beatles sort of?

I like this too - though the added dimension of the previous is better
cool piece!
great pop track!
finally I get to hear this - oh this is so weird - Elvis does Beatles! I like the arrangement.
sad story - one that is all too real.

I do plan on making another. I need to research what wood to use instead of the cool looking but stab in the dark wine box this time.
Beautiful job on the vocals here Reg!
