HYSTERIA
poem by: T.S. Eliot (1888-1965)
As she laughed I was aware of becoming involved
in her laughter and being part of it, until her
teeth were only accidental stars with a talent
for squad-drill. I was drawn in by short gasps…

Sketch of the ripple of unseen muscles. Tea for two who wish to take their tea in the garden. Concentrating of attention with careful
subtlety to this end. I like that.

Ha! Very clever! I love the bass lick and vox... and I'm very proud to be a part of your first accoustic recording of cornet, flute and harmonica. Historic indeed.
And what an interesting poem. I read up on it. Some highlights:
With "Hysteria" Eliot created an unconventional poetic diction by using verse rhythms that were based on the cadences of speech rather than poetic structure.
It is possible that the laughter may be a product of the woman’s ‘hysteria’, but it is more likely that the title applies to the narrator’s reaction to that laughter. “As she laughed,†he begins, “I was aware of becoming involved in her laughter and being part of it.†He begins to feel as though he has physically become the laughter he is observing."
"The narrator’s goal is to collect pieces of the details he was able to capture in order to rebuild a coherent reality. The reader is left somewhat skeptical of this goal, however, because of the narrator’s doubtful language. “If†the woman’s breasts “could†be stopped, “some†fragments “might†be collected. Each line contains two distinct words of uncertainty, and by the end we are not sure that the narrator’s hysteria can be cured.

As can happen when you listen to sometime a million times over your mind and ears start accepting things that later you wish you had not. This is a (much better imho) revision thanks to the urging of Gary from the music by computer list.

Most of you probably haven’t seen Reg dance, so I should explain it to you.
When Reg takes his “classic moves†to the dance floor everyone else steps aside to just watch – well, that is everyone except a few of the most self confident…
Reg was in the library reading back issues of the national papers to keep warm because a cold spell had hit the country hard and he had no money for heating. At least he could sit in the library reading until 5pm when it closed. Some strange stories…
This is a tale of an anti hero Howard Marks who used the disguise of Mr Nice to cross borders and smuggle huge amounts of drugs, he was caught and sentenced to 25 years. He is now a loveable rogue playing to packed audiences telling tales of…

nope - those are chinese gongs - some just have natural phasing - I don't know how that works but there it is. Also, according to the gong samples I have you can get a large number of different sounds depending how they are struck. Heck, I forgot, Norm has a gong - a pretty big one too - I bet he could make you some custom gong samples if you'd like.
I did this in order to stretch it out about 20 times as long as it is and did just that but or should I say because I used a very low sample size for the sound I would get something similar to echo stretches just like a 2k size of sample in paulstretch…

Kick ass collab gents. Fine work chris and norm! FAV'D Love the additions to the track! The horns work great.
What a vocal. Go for it Chris!
Crazily spooky! Totally envy your sustained notes. Damn.
DL'd for later :)
I like the long held out vocals combined with the scales your using....very somber, and droning feel. Very off-tune...but yet very much in-tune...
Less then one minute in and i already love it.
very nice,, as always i am amazed by your art
Beatifully sick! I like it very much!!

ooo 0:16 - like the electric guitar feedback sound! you are getting a lot of great textures!
some Janis Joplin or Joe Cocker vocals would really finish this one off!
