I used sonar 8.5 matrix view to turn my M-audio 88es into a sampler keyboard - assigning samples to almost every key. Most of the samples are field recordings from today and yesterday - most of the others are recordings I made of a drumset I…

Gary Thompson from the Music by Computer yahoo list (aka Johnny Pumphandle) remixed me version 2 of Sweeny's Agony - and blew me away - by toning down the volume he brought out a lot more soul in my opinion. I love it - and I hope you do too.

1/1/11; took bits from two of Mark's tracks from Pleasure Listening (2002) and improvised in Max with them, then mixed in DP. a mellow vibe for the new year.
This song is not for everyone but I like it because its a live recording with a single instrument using infinity delay FX. (I turned on the loop delay at :09 after the guitar was flat on the floor.)
All the sounds are made with an acoustic bass…
I didn't like the 1st version so i changed it so here it is. imagine Sitting in the forest listening to the breeze being free and wanting to follow it..........................

"High Life" is a musical genre that originated in Ghana in the 1900s and spread to Sierra Leone, Nigeria and other West African countries by 1920. My friends from that part of the world consider this be the "go-to" rhythm for just about anything…
Kinda rough. I'm uploading this mainly to share a guitar technique I've been working on. I'm wearing a slide on my picking hand and using it to alter pitches in single line phrases. There's a lot more can be done with this technique that I've…
I 2nd the request for a video. I'm assuming you are pushing the slide off the bridge toward the neck - correct? I've net ever heard of someone putting the slide on the picking hand before - but it sure sounds great!! Beautiful piece of work here Kirk!!
This rough track uses my Blue Just Tuning system (go to www.johnsmusic7.com for details and a photo of the guitar). This is the same tuning Chris Vaisvil used in his Excluded By Peers piece. I hope to add some lead to the track soon.
This blues piece uses my Blue Just tuning system (1/1, 15/14, 9/8, 6/5, 5/4, 4/3, 7/5, 3/2, 8/5, 5/3, 9/5, 15/8, 2/1). For more on my tuning go to www.johnsmusic7.com
A 3 track improvisation on 7 congas roughly tuned by ear to a chromatic scale.

!!! Brilliant! The music slinks along awesomely, but the narration is the kiss of la la la la life!
PLEASE put me in one of these some time!!! This is rich, inventive and exciting!
Chillingly atmospheric human voice sounds - very clever!
very pretty Chris I like the running chromatics here.
really digging this
I *love* this one.
Hi Chris, superb remix. The harsh lead guitar on the earlier versions was blocking out the other instruments. Very nice. John.
Very strong vocal drive. this is totally awesome! I often say that about all your music. Keep em coming and burning!
love the narration, and the echo FX's of the tea in the garden bit. And harp too? excellent.
Impressive piece of work! Enjoyed that!
