Hi Bethan - I have no idea who played it - but they did an excellent job. The midi file I found somewhere in the 90's.

Thank you for the comments on Sympathy for a Friend. I didn't use a synthesizer. All of the sound is from one take on my 19 note per octave guitar + effects.

baby! This is great!! I suggest running the mp3 through Paul's Extreme Stretch too if youu haven't taken a listen. What this reminds me of is some of the odd ends and bits on Beatles albums I always wished was longer. In places it sounds backwards, other places an orchestra tuning up, other places a spaceship.
