Icarus Syndrome

In darkness I have flown
In darkness I have died
Dead and dreaming to a world
of absolutely nothing that I find
Am I really lost?
Am I really gone?
Choices have consequence
At least we know where ours are…
Choices (midnight)
==================
Words don't mean anything
I've watched so many words burn down
Passionate things like good intents
most take them to their graves
Everything I've ever loved
It's all gone away
If I don't love you…
Progress and Decay is an instrumental -- that's right, completely untainted by my words ;)
...third track this weekend... i'm starting to feel like i'm in the rpm challenge or something :)
*Now with video!*
"progress and decay" -- slightly modified and tainted with words :)

Thanks man. I really appreciate the kind words you left on my AT page this evening. (Sorry for replying in the form of a comment, but I'm not sure how to send private messages on this site.)
It's massively late tonight but I'll give your tunes a listen tomorrow. :)

The first of the next album!
Check out the video that features a bunch of equally disturbing imagery I drew.
Lyrics:
Darkness consumed me
All you need know
Darkness became me
It's all I ever grow
Darkness is me
All I seed and all I grow

I decided to re-visit a song I wrote a few months earlier for the Faces of Humanity album/videos. It seemed to fit in extremely well with a lot of my current life and the album I've begun writing this month :) Enjoy!
Feel free to check out…
Lyrics:
Leaving, never felt so right
this home of apathy
Relieving, everything wronged could be right
another way
You thought I couldn't stand a chance
in my faded light
You thought you'd sold all your stock
before the system failed
// You thought…

Relieving, everything wronged could be right

dedicated to a pretty girl I know... :P
also note there is a meager attempt at video for this song!
Lyrics:
======
smile for me, pretty girl
smile for me, please
i'd do anything you want
to get you to acknowledge me
but i breathe…
Lyrics:
home
it's where the heart was
when you cared
but i don't go there anymore
we don't go there anymore
and let's face it
she was never really there
despite all and everything she breathed to me
i thought in confidence because she…
I wrote this song a while back...
First I Ever Did....
Catch The Original on Soundclick If you want.......

Geir Alfsen: Lead and Guitars…
awesome song!
To answer you question on metal screaming -- it's more of a vocal trick than anything. Try constricting your throat slightly to duplicate the noise. It's more about getting the tone you want than the volume (like I said, it's a trick - you use the microphone for volume). It's forceful and tiring but little air actually moves to make the sound... meaning you can carry the scream for an impressingly long period of time if you want. Hopefully that helps... it's much easier to learn when you can actually witness someone doing it in front of you... so to speak.

Well.... Off to work for me...
This is…
Another one rebuilt after my freak SD card initialization fiasco. The excellent solo work was done by my buddy Gnasty - I love it!
This is the second part of a two part song. I'll get the other part up next hopefully.
Badass Solos: Gnasty…
Well, song 10 finally. A bit on the heavy side, some odd FX, strange vox, an Ibanez, The ever present harmonica, and some help from Illegal Alien Autopsy.
This was the first song I tracked for RPM. But, since my pen has run out of ink this month…
I dig the combination of guitar and harmonica (not something I thought I'd ever say). The vocal effects are surreal. It makes me think of some of Marilyn Manson's extremely stuff before he got big. Great song!
Ring of Fire - lyrics by Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash -1963. Slightly modified.
This wasn't meant to be Ring of Fire but that's how it wound up.
I have been wanting to trash Ring of Fire and the words just seem to fit this simple 1-4-5…
Uploaded once and deleted.
This is a second take on guitar and vocals.
The first in a new process of mixing down.
It's about a soldier. The first person that came to my mind
when I thought, who would be singing a "Silent Love Song…
This song is awesome! It has that nice mellow feel that just makes me want to sit here and drink a beer while basking in it (which is what I'm currently doing) :)
Comments on Vestigial Remorse's stuff
You have a great voice, really nice tone. Your material is so dark but you do it exceptionally well.
Oh my word, strong and emotional delivery.
Wuhh! Nice! I was starting to sing along there. It is most compelling!
This is really well done. The thumping rhythm has such tremendous impact - works perfectly. Loved it!
i have a feeling you are influenced by horror movies
Crazy dark man, very cool vibe going on.
Mighty darkness!
Superbly atmospheric - haunting and dark. Love your distinctive and emotive voice!
Really enjoyed this. Great vocal, great atmosphere.

Awesome dude
Nice!!
Agree with Bee, and love the light and shade in the vox - powerful stuff.
Powerfully interesting! Hang on to the light!
Captivating. it took all of my attention.
Unmistakable darkness in your music...always sounds so authentic.
That's fighting talk man. Go for it! I love the discords everywhere the crosser you get!
Hey! This is really cool :3
Big themes with a light touch. Speaks to me

Nice -- I've always loved this song in general, and you did a good job covering it.

I am not religious myself, but I love this song. It speaks volumes of faith and love.
Awesome song :)
Nice and mellow, I like it!
Very nice :)
I dig this song, very energetic.

As a long time Johnny Cash fan I have to say thank you for doing this song justice. You definitely made it your own and put a very nice twist on it.
