My submission for the Woody Project.
I started this jam in A minor then found out it was in C. So I figure I got as close as a guess can get.
I left it as is because it's a jam, and this tune should be jammed 300 million ways.
Enjoy Woody…
This is one of my first alonetone collaborations written by Louis Smit.
Everyone should go listen to some of his tunes. Louis is a very original
and talented folk style acoustic guitarist- singer - songwriter.

Hell this took on a whole new dimension and did not lose the simplicity that I was giving it, in fact the embellishments give the main git and the harp the requisite stark and steaming sound I was after.Great job you guys.

(RPM 2011) For obvious reasons, many RPM albums make use of improvisational sound collages. ;-) This is the first of three that divide the record into sections. You may or may not hear the connections in the lyrics, but it actually does make…
Goodbye Blue Monday

Goodbye blue Monday
There's nothing else to say
We always knew
we would part this way
Time comes to say goodbye
To pause perhaps and wonder why
Why we always had to be
So blue, so blue

Sloane did me a favor & played an electric guitar part on this one. I had hoped to work with her more on this project, but she wound up leaving town to help take care for a recovering family member.

Reworked the vocals a bit (quite a bit). And yet again! And now, Gumbo Stu is singing backup bits. Thanks for the vocals Gumbo, a very welcome addition!
And, as requested, here are the lyrics:

What I especially love about this track is the underlying American Indian flavour, the backbone of your country after all.
Yay, turned out to be a great fun collab.
