The acoustic sounds stunning ..excellent lyrics ..you managed to get the word astronomical in a song you set the bench high....poor Lydia... a beautiful song well performed ...piepod bound

What a fabulous harp tone. And the guitars. And the bouncing bass. And the piano. WOW the break is fabulous - some Rory-ish slide and then that harp SHINES. And the out with the boogie-woogie and clean guitar. Oh. My. Goodness. This is SO good.

I wrote this one in response to a song writing challenge from the Minnesota Association of Songwriters. The title had to be Mississippi Moon and it had to have a I V VI I II chord progression somewhere in the song. Over 20 writers have signed…
Oh yeah, a lovely song and perfectly performed. Nothing overdone, no smoke and mirrors just a lovely vocal and accompanied plaintively. Nice lyrics too. BTW, I love that expression "swung for the fences"

Oh yeah. Great rocker and what fantastic vocal work. Love those guitars and I love the lecherous lyrics. Does not sound over-cooked to me, Andy; in fact it sounds bloody great with just the right amount of limiting.
