did a remix of latest B-52s (ex B-52's) song "Funplex". i admit i didn't really take the time to polish this, so it might have some flaws here and there, but it was fun to do and after all, is this not what matters most? :)

interesting image, Tess, since Carlos said the following about the piece:
"the final piece sounds like a band from some unknown planet playing at a Martian cosmodrome while aliens wait to embark for their galactic journeys."
so i guess it does sound alien-ish ;)
thanks a lot for listening!

Very otherworldly! The first 1 min or so makes me feel like I'm infiltrating an alien wine bar (hope nobody notices my dirty boots). Lovely changes in mood here - especially the build up of tension to the 3 minute mark, and then the feeling that you're eavesdropping. Great ride!
Thanks for the listen and comment! Well, no, I was a short haired old man when that solo happened (anyone over 29 is old of course). I don't know what PiL means.
This is the first song I uploaded to share on the internet when I first donned the name Alpha_Alpha. Thanks to fellow 'lonetoners and SoOn friends Norm and Vaisvil for contributing to make this song really special!
Lyrics
The Good Lifeless has Become Boundless
such that it is written,
went where and windly
with pentacles of pie
like know our way
down the screem
when we find what it
is that can been and be we of their
2 tracks of hobnox…
very inspiring and inspired.
and i don't know if you've updated it while i was playing this, but on the 3rd listen, the noised background (xps, maybe?) was gone.. intentional?
This is a piece Norm and I collaborated on last year. We hope you will enjoy it.
two improvised 12 string guitar lines
bass line ( I took a few takes)
improvised piano
Norm's percussion in Tumbao rhythm

@ Norm: honestly so do i. i was a bit disappointed by their EP, actually.
and you might wanna surf around, there have been made some seriously good remixes, highly creative..
This is a little piece dedicated to the lost world island of Socotra that grabs a lot of instrumentation from across Asia with little discrimination - the melodic instruments use Afshari with the exception of the Jaw harps which use 9-tET Sorog.
very good 80s feel, groovy & poppy! - you might have a few extra lengths, and i wasn't really thrilled with your log/metalic drums part, as they don't add much and even take the groove down a bit..
You're just kidding yourself if you thought I could resist the chance to add a bit of percussion to this wonderful song by Osckilo & Launched. I used Paiste Sound Discs to create a 3vs.4 polyrhythm against the delightful underlying 4/4 Spanish…
excellent collab indeed, and a great tune! the original has a rather intimate feel, adding your percs turned it all into a get-together afternoon, under the sun, with good buddies and let the jammin' goes its own way..
This is a piece that uses MOTU Ethno 2. All but percussion and voice were performed my Fender Mustang and midi recorded via Roland GR-20. The piece uses the Almak tuning included in Ethno 2. [Amlak recurrent sequence (x^2 = x + 1/3), as a matrix…

A quick little improv. Too lazy to grab a guitar so just used the lap steel. I think it still has the same strings on it from…
thanks for the listens, i know 10:30 is little over the usual playtime, compared to most productions.
@Neb: it's part of a bigger project, in collaboration with other artists, such as C.Vaisvil; and it is about telling stories, or more about having a story-telling approach of some science explorations and progress
@Sisters: nope, all synths, LFOs and VCOs :)(actually, a few Discovery & Zebralette)
My performance on video (see "more") at the odd music convergence with words by Evan Harrington and myself.

ensnaring! and oddly, i "prefer" the audio-only version. not that the video harms it in anyway, really not, but i find the piece more intense, when only focusing on sounds.
Comments on Alister Flint's stuff
I didnt know we were allowed to post other bands music here, i geuss its oki cuz its ur own remix ja?
Ich mag dieses Lied. Es ist so weich.
a great musical trip, and fascinating project. Would love to see more explanation of this maybe in the theory forum? Congratulations.
Wonderful collaboration! Great piece of work this is!
Clever title. Superb collaboration.
Reading what goes in to work like this, I am in way over my head, but it sure sounds good. Almost ethereal with a comforting rhythm. Very clever!
This was one of the better collaboration experiences I have had - I really like what we ended up with.

That's a winner! Nice track!

Special.
really sink into it by :45 subtle change ups bringing me into several different cool rooms
Wow, spacey and sublime! love the percussion and...well, love it all really! Awesome through headphones.
Masterful.
excellent! I love the percs and the mix of elements in this!
This track really takes you in some other world! But I'm not convinced that it's a cozy one :P
still digging this..
This is soooooo soothing! I love it
As badass as electro can get! Pro and right on the money.

there is "madness" written all over this, love it!
very good indeed! and welcome aboard :)

interesting glitched triphop, but it feels like you're holding it back.. too bad..
so nice.. feels like a gentle summer breeze! and another great collab..
excellent.. it goes in so many directions and yet so well balanced all the way! great collab'!

it simply sounds so authentic.. and this part, at 01'00", is brilliant!

+1 on Neb's comment.

been humming the main motif all morning long.. - and i thought, some vocals would be great on this, something of Tom Waits, or CharlElie Couture..
something of C.Twins' Lorelei.. excellent sound, would make a great intro for a longer piece..

fun little tune, clean prod.
nice vocals, definitely worth a better recording..
surprise indeed, and a good one!
